6 styles of TikTok videos and ads that give me CRAZY conversions all the time 👇
🧵 (a bookmark-worthy THREAD) 🧵
There are no rules to what works and what doesn’t when it comes to creatives on TikTok.
However, after spending a lot on ads, you come to see patterns that repeatedly show extraordinary results.
Here are the winners:
1// Social proof
I keep talking about this for a good reason - it works.
People don’t care what the brand claims, they care about other people’s experiences.
LEVERAGE SOCIAL PROOF EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME!
How can you implement social proof in a TikTok ad? Here’s how:
➤ Product image (or slideshow) with a text overlay of your website testimonials
➤ Video testimonials
➤ Native UGC (think Spark Ads)
➤ Screenshots of buyers’ testimonials (from Google, website, social media, etc.)
➤ Reply to a user’s comment
2// Lifestyle/product use
This type of TikTok ad has a really native and UGC feeling, so it typically performs extremely well in terms of conversions.
Some great examples you can use are:
➤ Product unboxing
➤ Order packing
➤ Product set up
➤ Product use cases
➤ Lifestyle videos where the product fits in
➤ Before/after-style videos
Often, people don’t buy a product because they need it, but because they want it. They believe that the product will enhance their lifestyle and fit their persona.
And with this type of TikToks, you’ll show them exactly that - how the product fits into their daily life.
3// Reasons or benefits
You’ve probably seen those TikTok videos (or ads) that list “3 reasons” or “5 reasons” why you need a product/service.
This type of video also converts incredibly well. That’s simply because people often want a quick “sum up” of what they’ll get if they buy. How will the product benefit them? How will it change their life?
For instance:
➤ 3 reasons I love my {product name}
➤ 5 reasons why {product name} is the best {product type}
➤ 3 ways {product name} will change your life
Try this ad format together with a text overlay and a robot voiceover to experiment and optimize your delivery.
4// Step-by-step
Dropshipping a homemade pasta maker?
This is your chance to create a step-by-step TikTok ad.
In the example with the pasta maker above, the video will probably follow the process of making pasta from scratch with the help of your product.
These types of videos show the product’s use in real life and all its functionalities.
It’s the best way for the buyer to know what to expect in advance.
By showing a step-by-step TikTok with your product in the spotlight, you’ll remove any doubts in the viewer’s mind.
For instance, can I make different shapes of pasta with my pasta maker?
They’ll know after watching the video.
5// Us vs. them comparison
A standard comparison between your product and your competitors also works pretty well on TikTok.
To not call out any competitors by their name, you could compare your branded product to other generic product types out there.
Like this, you’ll stay in the clear and still convince the viewers of your product’s superiority.
For us-vs-them comparison videos, try using the split-screen option on TikTok. This makes it visually clear and memorable.
6// Trends
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - tie your product to a trend!
Jumping on TikTok trends early on can do wonders for the algorithm and give you an incredible boost in engagement.
Plus, if you’re wondering how to increase your virality factor, this is the way to do it.
If you can tie your product to any TikTok trend, it will almost always make $$$. This can be:
➤ A hashtag challenge
➤ Trending dances
➤ A trending sound
➤ Trending effects
There’s a reason why these elements are “trending”.
When a trend is unrolling, TikTok pushes those videos on FYP feeds since it notes the increased engagement and potential to go viral.
*BONUS TIP: a duet giveaway!
Another one of my TikToks that performed incredibly well is a duet giveaway with a split-screen format.
I believe this format was so powerful because it had all the goodies:
- UGC-style
- Freebies
- Increase of followers
- Engagement

New to TikTok?
Not sure of the competition?
Not sure if there’s a demand for your product?
This MASTER 🧵 is for all TikTok beginners (bookmark it for future reference).
I’ll teach you how to sniff out the competition and launch your first TikTok. Let’s get going!
So, the number one question (by far) that I’ve been getting lately is how to start on TikTok if you have no content and no followers yet. A blank slate.
So, what’s the first thing you should do?
1// Search your niche or product
No matter if it’s TikTok or another social platform, the first thing you want to do is check out your competitors.
On TikTok, the way to do that is by clicking on the search button (up right corner) and typing your product or niche. ⌨️
Spark Ads can bring you an incredible ROI, better than your typical TikTok Ads.
And no, Spark Ads aren’t just boosted posts, they’re much more than that. And here’s how to take advantage of their power step by step: 🧵
Let’s say you’re a brand selling a product, and a buyer (content creator) has posted a TikTok of your product.
How can you, as a brand, use this UGC video?
The answer: Spark Ads
➔ What are Spark Ads?
Spark Ads are a TikTok ad format that gives brands/advertisers the right to advertise an organic TikTok video that they published by themselves earlier (similar to boost post), or, most importantly - an organic video published by a content creator displaying their product.
