Some of the best tools that can help you as an #SEO Specialist.
They are mostly related to digital marketing and/or copywriting, so don't expect the usual stuff.
A thread about improving productivity and your organization with tools, including personal advices 🧵
Notion. A workplace solution to have almost anything in one place.
Great for having order in your life and combine different templates, such as lists, tables and so on.
I am using it to define future plans or create new templates.
Google Docs/Sheets. I prefer them over the MS counterparts because they are more focused on collaboration.
Moreover, you have a better integration with Google APIs, which is great for SEO.
Google for the win, I guess.
Airtable. I hate when people use spreadsheets as databases. Oh wait, did someone find a solution for that?
This tool is for that, really really smart way to track campaigns or perform SWOT analyses.
Grammarly. Invaluable for anyone who is actively writing online.
I am planning on using it more because I admit it's really a great tool and can save you a lot of trouble.
Plus, it works well with other tools as well.
Canva. I am not a designer, I have to get by in some way. I created my CV from scratch with the help of this tool and never regretted since.
Probably one of my favorite tools in this list and one of the most powerful in general. It's not even expensive, give it a try.
Zapier. Automate your workflows by connecting your services and apps. Yes, it is very good for automation as you may have guessed.
Works with Airtable and Google Docs as well. Super important for agencies and pretty much anyone handling some good amount of work.
Nightwatch Search Simulator (Chrome extension). Tired of using a VPN to check rankings?
I got you covered, download this free extension and use it. You will have to pay if you want to use it for more "local" tasks.
It's one of my most used tools, super super recommended.
Buzzsumo. What content is popular right now? If you hate manual research or wasting hours just use Buzzsumo.
Use this to find influencers and see what the others do. It's an important asset for content marketing strategies.
Drag. Use this Chrome extension to turn your Gmail inbox into one task management tool.
Useful for people flooded with emails. I am pretty sure there are alternatives but I have only tested this one.
Serene. If you are a macOS user like me, you may enjoy this exclusive app.
You can use it to block websites or whatever distracts you from your daily writing tasks.
Serene is a great way of forcing you to focus on something, definitely recommended.
MindMeister/Xmind/Miro. Basically any tool to draw mind maps.
Mind maps are essential to create topical maps, site structure and even analyze entities or planning new content ideas.
Find a way to use at least one, you won't regret it at all.
Pocket. Reading everyday is important, but you may get easily distracted. This bookmarking app solves the problem and allows you to check what you forgot to read later on.
Really really useful even though it's simple.
Something for scheduling posts. I have to look for a suitable solution actually, there are many alternatives.
If you are posting a lot on social media, consider having some app of this type to make your life easier.
That's it, I don't know a lot of tools, I think you just need what it solves your most basic problems.
You can add a lot of value to your workflow by simply understanding where you are wasting a lot of time each day.
Strategy and content planning/organization are the most important activities for me.
And for this reason I am starting to use Notion more and more, to create templates and keep them in one place.
Finding your ideal balance takes time but you have to start. Learn how to improve the quality of your life and what you really need.
SEO is not SEO alone, you need to consider multiple factors and think holistically.
Digital marketing tools and suchlike can seriously boost your workflow and help you to understand how you can improve your existing processes.
And again, imho careful planning and strategy implementation is what you need. The perfect mix between thinking and doing.
Try to organize better and to be faster in the implementation, while understanding common patterns to elaborate superior strategies.
Templates for everything, don't waste time on reinventing the wheel if no one cares about it.
You don't need to spend a lot of money, check what you need and act accordingly. Then just act, do and do to keep your productivity up!

Some considerations about Keyword Research, SERP analysis, entities and whatever you can think of.
This #SEO thread is about my personal advices and considerations for research 🧵
Spending hours on Keyword Research is boring, start from a topical map instead. Then, look for those keyword clusters you were missing and update it.
[Ecommerce] If the Search Volume is low, add a facet/filter or even a heading in a page. You don't need to create a subcategory for everything, it's a waste of time, especially when the competition is super low.
We all know the usual competitor analysis done with #SEO tools.
Today I want to talk about other ideas that can give you a competitive advantage or a different angle when doing analyses.
A thread on how to approach competitors 🧵
Your analysis should depend on the business model and the type of website. For an Ecommerce you would care about the product selection and how they're going to present them.
For an online magazine/blog you would consider different factors, mostly related to topic breadth/depth.
Metrics like DA/DR are kinda useless, as you cannot quantify the value with an integer value alone. For this reason, you should have a better look at the backlink profile.
This is not really my field but I would never present DA/DR!
