▫️Led AK Family Council thru fights against equal rights protections, 2009-2018
▫️Lost to Elvi Gray Jackson, 2011

▫️Bronson's mayor campaign led by Axiom Strategies & dark-money GOP affiliates
▫️$33,000 campaign fines for illegal reporting, missed deadlines
▫️Called the Assembly "idiots"
▫️Now in office, refers to "his enemies"
▫️Supported Trump and armed insurrection *the day of* Jan 6

▫️Launched his campaign on Day 1 as a Save Anchorage candidate ...
▫️Then claimed to not know them but "appreciate the support" (wife Deb a Facebook group member since July 2020)
▫️Endorsed a full slate of Save Anchorage candidates, with loyalty to him the only real policy

Bronson's #ancgov health record:
▫️Bronson said in 2020 "Muni should stop COVID testing, so there's no cases"
▫️Then ended testing fall 2021
▫️Said "the pandemic is over" March 2021
▫️Ended popular COVID sick & family leave policy for Muni employees

Bronson on COVID:
▫️Held private "listening session" at Library to spread anti-vax misinfo
▫️Claimed hospitals lied about COVID numbers & staffing
▫️His staff tried to break in & "rescue" sick patient
▫️Doubled down against health care sector, as nurses were threatened & spit on

▫️Bronson hosted "experts" spreading misinfo & supporting Frontline Doctors (COVID quacks)
▫️Gave platform to angry mob for "filibuster" of mask ordinance at #ancgov meeting, during deadly Delta surge
▫️All key Health Dept leadership quit or fired, including Chief Medical Officer

▫️Bronson's Chief Medical Officer repeated anti-mask, anti-vax misinfo (lies)
▫️Turned off city's fluoride in October, lied about it for months, still hasn't explained what happened
▫️Fluoride in Girdwood still not operating, only disclosed months later, also never explained

Bronson's budget:
▫️Pledged not to cut public safety, then cut Mobile Crisis Team & AFD
▫️Claimed to find "cuts" but added more management jobs
▫️Major cuts to popular alcohol tax programs
▫️Cut capital projects from 2022 bonds
▫️Vetoed to undo Assembly version: no compromise

Bronson on homelessness:
▫️Fought over a year against prior admin's plans
▫️Wants a "tough love" model, using arrests & jail
▫️Multi-million "megatent" shelter w/ no plan
▫️Hired homeless coordinators with no experience
▫️Refused to negotiate w/ Assembly, threatened to walk away

Bronson on safety:
▫️Has alleged private APD "Men's Club" personally loyal to him
▫️Never answered what happened w/ Chief McCoy
▫️Never answered what happened on 10/7: APD left #ancgov Assembly chamber & Demboski tried to cut video feed▫️Fighting transparency for APD body cams

Bronson's executive management:
▫️Lets unelected Muni Manager Demboski run the entire admin
▫️Has skipped or left early during #ancgov meetings
▫️Refuses to answer Assembly questions, record requests
▫️Dozens of longtime Muni staff fired or quit, in most departments

▫️Remaining employees in Bronson admin feel silenced or afraid to speak out
▫️Unqualified "Director" illegally running the Library, purging books, using censorship to push bigotry
▫️Bronson regularly lies on the public record, during official meetings, about his own actions.

This 🧵 is just the "highlights" of the Bronson administration's unprecedented attacks on the Assembly & separation of powers, on his own employees, on our whole community, and on the idea of truth in government.

Don't let him hide the truth of what happened. And vote April 5.
