What is the Temporary Protection Directive?
✅ Grants temporary protection to displaced non-EU nationals due to armed conflict, human rights violations, etc.
✅ Granted for min. 1 yr. & max. 3 yrs.
✅ Allocates refugees between MS by capacity
@vonderleyen also announced €500m in funding via the European Peace Facility (EPF) “to purchase and deliver military equipment” to support 🇺🇦 defenses.
EPF, a funding instrument outside the 🇪🇺 7-yr budget and under the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), has two pillars:
