My answer to if Black Americans are doing enough to help #Ukraine
Yesterday 👇🏾 I said I would be watching #SOTU 2C how the needs of Black Americans would be addressed (the same way Biden had a SPECIFIC message 4 Black ppl when he ran) whenever it comes down to money for Black ppl like #Reparations it's no but Ukraine will receive BILLIONS
Part 3 The question was asked if Black people should do more in #Ukraine since everyone marched for Black people in 2020. My response
Turn the volume up!! 🔥 🔥
They always tell me to stand for everyone and everything else but Black people.
Check out what I just wrote (using a romantic relationship analogy) called: Black people's political relationship status: The complicated entanglement.

Wow, I'm sitting here at @flyLAXairport@SouthwestAir & this white young lady runs out the door & on the tarmac trying to wave a plane down. It seems like it took the police forever to get here. If she were Black, she would be shot (with no questions asked)
I'm amazed at how GENTLE #LAPD is with this white girl that ran on the tarmac at LAX (federal offense) no weapons were drawn, they brought the firefighter for medical attention
So white girls can run on the tarmac and be able to stand up while they gently search her bags. This is wild!
2/ Spud served time as a 1st time non-violent offender due to the 90’s crime bill. He saved my life when I was a teenager so I stayed connected with him over the years during his time in prison, he is one of the reasons why I work so hard in politics on criminal justice reform.
3/ Spud is the reason why when I watched #WhenTheySeeUs I was NOT shocked by anything I saw because I already understood the pain & trauma associated with serving time. Because of him I spoke about mental health for inmates during my 2nd appearance on @breakfastclubam
