Meanwhile MCC released the following notices:
a. Notice dated 15.03.2022 providing for addition of new seats in Mop-Up round. The reasoning given for introduction of new seats in Mop Up round was late
receipt of letter of permission by NMC after round 2 of counselling.
b. Advisory was issued by MCC providing that the candidates holding a seat in second round are advised to not participate in Mop-up round of AIQ and State
counselling.
c. Notice dated 19.03.2022 providing for new seats been introduced in the State of Karnataka.
The petitioners to argue that Since few states have allowed candidates to surrender seats in second round
and join Mop up round – the candidates who would have been eligible for those seats are deprived as the same was earlier occupied by some other candidate
