#SupremeCourt hearing case pertaining to sexual abuse in Muzzafarnagar Shelter Homes. Counsel submits that the Patna High Court has taken cognisance in a matter where a girl was trapped. He submits that CBI probe has been ordered into just one case.

ASG Madhavi Divan appears for CBI submits that they have moved an application. #SupremeCourt . She submits that “investigation is over.”

Divan: There is no investigation which is now pending, as far as the main case is concerned 19 persons have been convicted.

CJI: This pertains to just one shelter home. No investigation is done in other shelter homes.

Divan: That is wrong. We have conducted investigation in 16 cases

Counsel “In the recommendation of the CBI there was a recommendation to take departmental action against certain officers, my prayers are that the government is not taking the action. There was also a minister who was convicted.” #SupremeCourt

Counsel for State “Action has been already taken, I will file in a sealed cover. Since it pertains to young girls sealed cover will be required.”

CJI: I only want an action taken report. I dont names of the girls mentioned. Don’t file in a sealed cover #SupremeCourt

Amicus: Individual CBI officers who have been assisting in the court may continue doing so. Last time the media reported this irresponsibly, an IA is pending that needs to be decide

CJI: We cannot keep doing this.

Court “Report of Amicus taken on record. So far as the action the State submits that action has been taken, State to file action taken report. List in two weeks”

“It appears that the probe is complete the officers will be repatriated as prayed for. It is further open to CBI to take assistance of counsels who have appeared before the trial court.”
