As highly requested, the MEGA Thread on $HBAR is here.
In this thread we will discuss the history, technology and team behind Hedera Hashgraph and how it is currently faring in the bear market.
A full comprehensive research will be published (wait till the end).
/THREAD
In any thread of a project, its' important to give the project context for readers who are unfamiliar with $HBAR.
-The live Hedera price today is $0.215 USD.
-The current CoinMarketCap ranking is 34, with a live market cap of $4.2 M USD.
-It was funded through a 2018 ICO.
Now that we can see $HBAR is a prominent project with an even stronger community.
Let's talk about the "Unique Selling Point" of $HBAR.
The first element I would like to talk about is "the gossip protocol"
I will use an analogy to make this simpler for you.
Imagine a group of people in a classroom needing to share a statement with everyone else. You could take turns having each person say their statement. This is how most databases work. It's effective, but slow.
$HBAR approach differs and we will explore how.
Instead, each person could simultaneously pick 2 other people to share info with, and then those people could pick 2 people to share it with and so on (w/o sharing w/anyone that's already heard it).
This is incredibly fast, and how the #hashgraph Gossip Protocol works.
Once the information is distributed, it needs to be ordered.
Hashgraph achieves this by putting 2 pieces of information (hashes) onto each transaction that allows the receiving node to track where each transaction came from.
This is called "Gossip about Gossip".
It is because of this that:
Hedera Hashgraph achieves transaction finality in 3-5 seconds, ranking it among the fastest cryptocurrencies.
It's also very inexpensive, with transaction fees being a fixed cost.
No matter the price of HBAR, the fee remains the same.
There's currently no better known security algorithm, making $HBAR resistant to DDoS and Sybil attacks.
1/3rd of nodes have to be compromised for attacks to succeed.
Hashgraph also brings the unique concept of "fairness" to crypto, providing mathematically provable fair access and fair ordering that cannot be influenced to give any client an advantage (or disadvantage) over any other.
Incredibly important for democratizing large finance.
$HBAR is the native cryptocurrency of the Hedera public network.
HBARs are used to power decentralized applications and protect the network from malicious actors.
Network fees are paid in HBAR.
Hedera’s proof-of-stake public network uses HBARs, which are staked to a node to weight votes on transactions for consensus.
Weighted voting makes it difficult/expensive for bad actors to maliciously affect consensus, requiring over one-third of total HBAR supply.
There are currently 500+ teams working with Hedera ranging from startups to global enterprises.
Hedera's governing counsel includes companies like Google, IBM, LG, Boeing as well as international universities and corporations.
Its counsel is geopolitically diverse.
I personally really am fascinated with $HBAR partners.
It highlights significant real world integration with large companies such as Boeing, Deutsche Telekom, Google, IBM, LG Electronics, and Tata Communications
I will be writing about $HBAR in a comprehensive research report on Patreon: patreon.com/crypto8fi
There are only 50 available spots for this tier. Where I will be producing numerous high quality research reports every month on the best investments in crypto.
Hedera (HBAR) is a cryptocurrency that runs on a blockchain known as a #Hashgraph.
$HBAR aims to be regulatory compliant across jurisdictions and includes tools that allow dApps to do KYC/AML checks and identify verification. This allows for the evasion of regulatory scrutiny.
One of #HBAR core functions is to serve as the "interoperability layer" between existing and emerging enterprise deployments.
They have a Visa-style governing council with Google Cloud and IBM as one of their 39 term limited members.
Which is massive for any crypto project.
VALUE PROPOSITION: The main value arises from "enterprises and institutions". Enterprises can achieve cost savings on existing payments/business processes.
They can make use of micropayments or alternatively choose to use $HBAR to enhance supply chain efficiencies and finance.
Hedera Hashgraph is governed by a body known as the Hedera Governing Council, which is charged with running the consensus nodes that determine transaction ordering.
25/39 council members are publicly announced including #Chainlink Labs and #Google Cloud- experts in their field.
In terms of performance, a Hashgraph can produce higher TPS - 10,000 at Mainnet launch and is expected to scale even higher to allow for micropayments.
The network has plans to further include more permissionless nodes in the future. Think greater decentralisation, reader.
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) are regulated by a countries’ monetary authority and typically deployed on permissioned blockchain frameworks.
They likely will utilize the Hedera Consensus Service in combination to preserve privacy while enabling transparency and trust.
Achievements are important for a blockchain.
By Nov 2021:
-Hedera surprassed 1.8 billion tx since inception.
-Total accounts grew 515% YoY, reaching 590,000
-Governance council (+) 18 reputable firms
-Hedera Token Service went live on Mainnet in Feb 2021.
Whilst there is no need for a full disclosure. I'd like to mantain transparency with my reader.
I currently do not own any $HBAR nor did I create this thread for promotional purposes.
However, I will elaborate further on all my investments in my patreon.com/crypto8fi.
As most of Crypto Twitter has begun to shill coins after the recent pump.
Time for a rant.
But I think its' important that you understand a separate perspective on why we are pumping and how its' likely a "bull trap".
A discussion 🧵 on why our markets are so speculative.
Before you start reading this thread.
Grab a snack. A coffee. Some popcorn.
To fully understand what I am trying to address. This may take some time.
By the end of this thread, I'd like to give you the tools to help you organise thoughts on general market direction.
Before I start, please remember I am actually an idiot.
I have zero actual financial markets experience, I’m not a financial advisor, don’t understand how money works and barely understand how the coins work.
