2/ Today, I will continue discussing the topic "What is a DAO?" in preparation for NFTJPN's conversion to a DAO. In the last issue, I wrote that DAOs could be a breakthrough beyond the organization of a company, as the sharing of an important resource for an organization,

3/ *money*, will greatly change the commitment involved by participants and participating companies. From here, we will further explore the example of Nouns DAO in depth.

4/ The DAOs I will write about here are only what I consider "ideal DAOs" for NFTJPN. Even if it does not fit the definition described here, I believe that there should be various DAOs for each community.

5/ I would be happy if you could use our case studies and many other findings as material for thinking about your own "DAO".

6/ In the character business, Nouns is a "core automated organization" (DAO), which has started to differentiate itself from existing IP.

7/ For example, Nouns has started to provide grants for the creation of fan artworks using a portion of the 70 million USD worth of ETH in the treasury.

8/ Grants are a development that was unthinkable for a well-known IP until now. There was a line where fan art was either prohibited or not allowed for commercial use in order to protect the rights of the IP.

9/ However, with Nouns, DAO participants (NFT owners) can sell NFTs with no risk to the creators, as the community's decision to create NFTs with fan art is paid for by the DAO.

10/ If the DAO participants share the vision that the DAO is trying to realize, they will allocate the resources of "money" that will be collected by the Treasury, without risk & rather pay for it, even though it would have been prohibited in the past,

11/ or they would have provided the cost and resources first. There will be many more such cases in the future, not just in Nouns.

12/ If we write it simply from the creator's point of view.
General company: Character rights cannot be used.
Progressive Corporation: Free to use characters for anything but commercial use.

13/ DAO: You get paid if you make fan art of the characters.
This differentiation is now possible, and it is clear that we are entering an era of creators first.

14/ Off topic, but Play to Earn and Move to Earn are also typical examples. With Web3, we are now able to budget for things that would have been uncompensated in the past.

15/ These are thanks to the blockchain's property of "smoothing the data on the Internet" by adding value to it.

16/ The Internet has smoothed information data around the world, but the blockchain smoothes value, so that even *money* held by companies can be utilized without backing in DAO.

21 / If you want to design a purer DAO, the central incentive depends on how much *money* or shared resources can be automated with smart contracts to the decision making of the community

22/ while minimizing decision making as much as possible. .. NFTJPN wants to take on the challenge of becoming a DAO with higher purity.
