On 8 April 2022 about a dozen police officers came to the house of Galymzhan KARABAYEV with illegal search on the basis of an unlawful court order. The house was completely searched and Galymzhan's phone was seized.

The search order was made by the senior investigator of the Saryagash District Police Department #YESHMANOV J.O., sanctioned by the investigative judge of the Saryagash District Court #MALAYEVA Aigul Kuanyshbaevna.

Among those conducting the illegal search was operative investigator Bekzat #TASHMETOV, who regularly persecuted the activist.
