@MusicElizaHull@hannah_diviney@Akii_Ngo@LISACOX_CO We've been flipping between here and the very busy chat on Zoom. But some key msgs from advocates have been
- keep fighting
- find a way to use your voice
- try diff platforms

- being the representative you wanted to see!
@Akii_Ngo - your vote has power, use it, your experience and voice matters, in public and private you have power, you can influence people...
We can vote - we can create change - don't waste your vote!
@MusicElizaHull@hannah_diviney@Akii_Ngo@LISACOX_CO Pnuk - esp for young ppl with disability - your vote is powerful, use social media in a powerful way, a well crafted story can go viral, be creative, go viral, go hard - it is your world, you can shape it!

Greens want to
- remove the age cap of 65

@lindareynoldswa was unable to attend, but shared a statement with us
The Morrison Government is fully funding the NDIS as an essential service that over half a million Australians with significant and permanent disability rely on.
In the March 2022 Budget, we provided record investment in the NDIS of over $158.7 billion over four years.
(We will share all parties commitments online)
@billshortenmp coming in from QLD - says that his party main aim is to restore trust ...
Fix things so that it does not need to be a full time job to access the NDIS
@billshortenmp Next up - Naomi Anderson talking about appeals and heading to the AAT - the problem is not with the AAT but with the agency driving ppl there - one person had to face 14 lawyers when they went to defend their plan
"NDIA staff are under pressure to employ a 'no initial contact call' process when assessing thousands of participants’ claims for a review of their NDIS plan."
I’m Kevin Stone. I’m the CEO of @VALID_Inc and the Chair of @inclusionoz. Late last year, VALID stopped working with the NDIA on anything to do with their Independent Assessments. #NDIS#HandsOffOurNDIS
We had come to the conclusion that they do not have the best interests of people with disabilities or their families at heart. Nothing they have said or published since persuades me that we got it wrong. #NDIS#HandsOffOurNDIS
We are united in our concerns about the introduction of proposed mandatory independent assessments. Reduce dignity, choice and control and wellbeing. We don't believe they will address the issues. Over-simplistic assessment tools untested - @Adv4Inclusion#NDIS#NDISJSC
There has been no specific testing with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability in the independent assessment pilot that we know of. - @FPDNAus#NDIS#NDISJSC
