I'll vote Labour when they commit to giving us a fair voting system.
#LocalElections2022 @UKLabour @TheGreenParty
In response to the predictable comments:

The Tories have held absolute power for 46 of the last 76 years despite the majority voting to the left of them in almost every single election.

That makes FPTP the most right-wing policy in UK politics.
And Labour currently support it.
So you can shout at me for using my vote to protest against that, or you can shout at @Keir_Starmer for continuing to help the Tories win LONG TERM.

Your choice. 👍🏿
And to those of you telling me to be patient... And that Labour is gradually moving towards PR.

I TRIED THAT BEFORE!

If Labour pulls out a major policy just before an election, after spending years resisting it, it struggles to sell it to voters.
This country is "held hostage" every 5 years!

Our ability to escape poverty, avoid Brexit, tackle climate change... They're all being "held hostage".

That's what the 2 party system does!

Until Labour opposes FPTP, their signature is on the ransom note!

🔻Unlawfully shut Parliament to take power
🔻Unlawfully sent 25,000 untested patients into care homes. (Today's High Court ruling)
🔻Unlawfully failed to disclose the Covid contracts they gave to Tories
🔻Unlawfully partied in lockdown

How many people died due to Tory Crimes? 🤔
The "Party of Law and Order" unlawfully shut parliament in order to run down the clock towards No-Deal, and avoid letting people vote on their Brexit deal.

So they rose to power by breaking the law.

They then broke the law by sending 25,000 untested patients into the most clinically vulnerable environments in the country.

This was within 3 months of taking power.

Every Tory minister is saying they can't help people stay warm/fed as the economy can't afford it.

Will ANY TV interviewer ask if they'd be able to help more if they hadn't wasted billions on corrupt contracts & trashed the economy via Brexit?

#Ridge #Kuenssberg #PESTON @Peston
I mean, this isn't complicated stuff.

The Tories have spent months saying that there's a ceiling on what they can do to help people.

And NOT ONE OF YOU is asking whether the Tories bear some responsibility for how low that ceiling is now.

Feels like basic journalism to me. 🤷🏿
FACT:

Every penny they wasted on dodgy contracts & every pound lost on Brexit, could have kept people's homes that little bit warmer and their kids' bellies a little bit fuller.

By not making that link, you're abetting that suffering after-the-fact.

If you think Rishi Sunak and the Tories care about the people freezing in their homes right now, please watch.
In the interest of editing fairness, here's as much of Angela Epstein's discourse as I can fit into a reply video.

If you think any of it tips the scales, feel free to let me know. I just didn't think so.
OK, sources:

I was wrong, it was 8 times, not 4 times.

Anyone else go through the process of losing a little bit of respect for two of your childhood idols, one after the other?

First Will Smith and then Chris Rock minutes later when you found out what that GI Jane joke meant?
1) Imagine if Will Smith just walked up, leaned into Chris Rock's mic & chillingly: "keep my wife's name out your mouth".
Violence was not the only option to "stand up for his wife".

2) Rock DESERVING a slap for ridiculing a medical condition, DOESN'T make it a good thing to do.
But this is twitter, so the nuance above has no place here.

It's either Chris Rock should press charges for assault, or Will Smith should have put him in a coma.

There is no middle ground.

The Tories are acting like they're OPPOSED to an oligarchy of wealthy elites who fraudulently influence government policy while pocketing public money, at the expense of citizens. 🤔

Newcastle Utd, owned by Saudi Arabia, who chopped the heads off 81 people this week, and have killed 100K people in Yemen...

Are playing against Chelsea, owned by Roman Abramovich, an affiliate of Putin who is blowing up children in Ukraine.

What are we doing, people?
#CHENEW
I turned the TV on to see Chelsea was playing and thought "Oooh it'll be interesting to see who wins. Who are they playing?... Ahhhh f***!"
#CHENEW
It's not the fault of Chelsea or Newcastle players/fans that the UK government has allowed genocidal governments to buy control of major UK institutions.

Their only responsibility is to be aware of the problem and not act like their "suffering" is more important.
