๐Ÿงต- Abortion and Adoption

1/ What makes people think that just because someone is considering abortion they will also be willing to hand their child up for adoption?
2/
Aborting a non-viable zygote for any reason is not the same as giving up a live child for adoption, especially to the system in the US ripped with abuse of foster and adopted children.
3/
Forcing rape or incest victim to give up babies after forcing them to carry a fetus to term after they were forced to endure rape or incest, is only adding trauma upon trauma
4/
Forcing those who would have aborted to do likewise is also traumatizing. For it is quite different to have an abortion than to know you have a child out in the world going through lord knows what.
5/
There is this mentality in the world that for one to be happy, they must have a) a mate b) children c) house d) money... And this is really (to me) the root of most insecurities and self loathing
6/
People have been brainwashed into thinking they are incomplete, lacking in something if they have not achieved these things that someone they are failed human beings.
7/
But to get back to my point, people who have abortions in general do not do so because they don't want children, they do so because they are not ready to have children for any number of reasons.
8/
There are hundreds of thousands of children in need of homes right now and yet they are not adopted, why?
Because people don't really want to help children... they want to have children, because society says they must have children.
9/
There are several threads/stories that adoptees have put out about their own views on adoption and how its made them feel... I suggest that those proposing adoption as an option for abortion read a few of those.
10/
Being an unwanted child to someone who wasn't ready to have children, let me tell you it's no walk in the park either.
So no adoption will never be a substitute for an unwanted pregnancy.

Because you didn't like trans or gays so you voted in people who didn't like trans or gays and promised to "make them go away".
Nevermind that they just want to live their lives and it doesn't affect you... but you know hate trumps livable wages
3/16
Because you didn't like your own freaking history about slavery you voted in white supremacists, because you know not learning about history trumps health care for your kids.

๐Ÿงตtoughts on missing childhood
1/7
A few people have been wondering about certain things in my poems... and some of my threads or comments about my childhood
Here are a few thoughts about my early life
2/7
When you are a child you do not feel a certain type of trauma, neglect is not the same as physical or verbal abuse... it's subtle... you know you're different but it's not something you can pinpoint...
3/7
It is when you grow (after 12 I would say) that you start understanding what it is that's wrong... that's when you start questioning certain things but still you don't really "feel" what's wrong... you don't feel right but you don't grasp why

Americans do not need another wake-up call, they need a couple of well-placed kicks in the butt.

I don't care what your party is, if you don't want to wake up under a Taliban-like regime you better get with the program!

I have never seen a country with such whinny freaking children in my life, and I mean on every side of every issue! Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Progressives, etc.โ€ฆ all of you need to grow up.

You all seem to think that well this is just all politics and things will never get really bad because this is the United States of America after allโ€ฆ the leader of the free world, we got checks and balances, even those warning of disaster do so with no urgency

I never know when to take my mother's health seriously... she goes into "oh lord" "oh my god" rolling her eyes a lot of drama at the slightest thing...
She's been at it for 30 minutes, I keep asking her "what hurts? what's wrong"... she finally says I kid you not "I can't fart".
Not only has she farted during this display, she got up and went to do #2 also.
But she's now saying my heart is beating slowly, I take her pulse... strong and steady I tell her that... she says "that's not the way it is usually".
you can laugh.
Update:
Drama queen has now burped and says she feels better.
I'm in hell.
Don't get me wrong I do not like my mother but I do love her, she's just has never been and never will be a mother.

A white woman said today โ€œyou think black womenโ€™s pain counts more than oursโ€ this was in the midst of a discussion about the racists' attacks that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson faced during the hearings.
2/11
This was because black women were telling white women that no, they could not understand and feel the same as us watching this circus. While they insisted that as women, they had suffered the same.
3/11
With this phrase, the woman revealed the depth of their misunderstanding and also revealed how white women view the struggle of black womenโ€ฆ as a form of competition. She did not know she revealed this, she doesnโ€™t even know she feels this, and therein lies the problem
