CM @FabianPicardo recently stressed #Gibraltar's rules already prevent any such vessel entering British Gibraltar Territorial Waters, receiving any port service or offloading any Russian cargo.

488 current cases: 3 in hospital. One is a baby who had COVID-19 detected while admitted for another condition.

One vaccinated case in COVID Ward and steadily improving.

One person in ICU who was unvaccinated, was ventilated and has now improved and been taken off ventilator.
Due to 3 day lag in genomic sequencing, very likely Omicron variant is now dominant.

Minister for Education having discussions with teaching unions and a parents association has been formed to look at whether pupils in senior schools (Westside, Bayside and the College) should wear masks when outside the schools.
Transport Minister @vijaygib expected to make a 'positive' announcement in the next few days in terms of the continuation of flights and the existing air bridge that exists between the UK and Gibraltar. Testing at airports will go a long way towards ensuring this continues.
Chief Minister @FabianPicardo says it remains in constant contact with relevant authorities in Spain. Does not discard the possibility that in closing its regional borders it may mean the frontier will be closed to everyone except cross-frontier workers.

Chief Minister announces Covid tests by frontier for cross-frontier workers. Tests will also be available at the airport. Measures aim to ensure Gibraltar remains on the UK travel exemption list.
Wearing masks will now be compulsory in the centre of town. Last week this was strongly advised but only heeded by 10 % of people on Saturday.
Other measures to avoid a lockdown will include 'No loitering' legislation in the area of Chatham Counterguard from 11pm to 1am.

Chief Minister says global #Covid19 deaths have climbed from 640k to 673k deaths.

He confirms #Gibraltar will stay in Phase Six without any relaxation of the current arrangements.
CM says we need to be prepared to make sacrifices now for longterm benefit. Says there's a risk of a spike in coronavirus cases arising from holiday & other travel arrangements.

Chief Minister says "delighted" we're starting Phase 5 today with zero active cases in #Gibraltar. Tomorrow will mark 14 days with zero active cases on the Rock. 22 days with no new infections locally.
CM: 1 ERS cross frontier worker did test positive, there had been no contacts with patients. Details sent to Spanish authorities. Person self-isolating at home in Spain.
