Explain how the alt left thinks repeatedly choosing a natural born *Independent* alienator (who masquerades as a D when convenient) to represent all of *their* socialist hopes and dreams in a Democratic primary but who goes on to become radioactive in the general is a good thing.
Seriously the level of magical thinking and mental gymnastics folk are doing just to evade confrontation and exploration of the simultaneously batshit crazy AND exponentially racially charged political climate we’re ALL facing in the ‘22 midterms is viscerally RIDICULOUS.
While y’all were #onhere making up complete bullshit about what happened in PA, the MSM *AND* GOP were already spinning the narrative of this race around the same “economic anxiety”/White grievance tropes from yesteryear. Case in point, the @nytimes: ImageImageImageImage
Bonus points for everyone who immediately recognizes the above Fetterman narrative as basically the EXACT SAME thing they said about both Bernie and Trump re: appealing to downtrodden “working class voters” who think Democrats are too “professorial”, “elite” and “inauthentic”. ImageImageImageImage
It’s such an insidious narrative because clearly a shit ton of White liberals are either completely incapable of seeing it at all or they see it but refuse to make dire adjustments to their “strategic” plans for the general based on reasoned feedback from the *Democratic base*.
Of course the reason I know they refuse said D base feedback is because I’ve been trying to educate them for going on 7 YEARS and they STILL can’t handle it or make dire adjustments. It’s a pervasive pattern of behavior which is why I have file cabinets of 🌳🧾s on the topic. ImageImage
Always be mindful of the troll fuckery and overall aura of condescension b/c it’s essential for the recipe of these types of clusterfucks. They always accuse the literal MOST RELIABLE Democratic bloc (read Black women) of being dumb as fuck and short sighted. Quintessential Bern. ImageImage
As if somehow WE’RE the ones who aided and abetted the election of fascism. 🙄 Just the insult of the accusation alone should be illustrative of the level of gaslighting we’re contending with here, and NONE of this shit bodes well in the slightest.
Bottom line is it is NOT and NEVER will be Black voters’ job or desire to save White voters from themselves or their impractical votes in primaries or general elections. We couldn’t even if we tried because their impractical ass votes are actually *weapons formed against US*. ImageImageImageImage
“Probably good” according to whom? If you ask *Democrats* of ANY ethnicity (namely @BetoORourke) in Southern/red “racist states” we’ll unequivocally tell you appealing to racists ain’t a good strategy. That would make us Dixiecrats which is 🟰 to, if not *WORSE* than today’s GOP. ImageImageImageImage

Those have ALWAYS been the options but unfortunately the White American voting majority has routinely & by default chosen a combination of 1, 2 & 4 b/c either way that keeps the multicultural Democratic base from making progress towards diversity, equity, inclusion & justice (3). ImageImageImageImage
@Vladdiefan TBH I perceive this as y’all trying to somehow catch me/us in a pragmatism hunger games snafu gauntlet as if *we’re* the voters with a pattern of actually doing that. What y’all should be asking is “how can White PA Ds make Fetterman palatable to White voters in PA?”
IOW much like Bernie, the conventional wisdom holds that Fetterman’s the perfect answer to WWC (but mostly White male) grievance, “anxiety” and incurable anger at Wall Street (but “never” at immigrants, women & POC 🤐🤐🤐) so pls do share what the “secret” to nabbing the WWC is.

For the viewing audience at home I’d just like to add that MUCH of the reason we have to keep explaining the Southern Strategy & subsequent realignment of the D & R parties post Civil Rights Movement is b/c so many of y’all refuse to face facts that racism isn’t just Southern. 🙃
Without fail it’s usually the East/West coast and Midwest folk who’ve never lived in the South and never had family/friends from the South who don’t get that the bigots y’all have up and over there AIN’T that much different than the ones we have here, they’re just more dishonest.
And to MLK & King’s extremely astute point 😏, too many White liberals are still mired in blue state myopia and the narcissism of minor differences. They think bc they/their ancestors hail from the Union side of the Civil War that they *fully* opted out of slavery and Jim Crow.

Payton Gendron is an *American problem*. Stop pretending these White domestic terrorists have to look outside our borders for inspiration/marching orders when all they have to do is watch Fox “news” & follow Republicans on social media. #ThisIsAmerikkka #WhereWereTheyRadicalized

The student loan forgiveness “debate” feels like yet another exercise in alt left performative privilege to me b/c the loudest voices screaming for mitigation don’t center the demographic *most detrimentally impacted* by student loan debt/wealth inequity. marketwatch.com/story/student-…
“…the gap in student debt held by Black and White borrowers grows by 6.8% each year. As a result, Black young adults hold 10.4% less wealth on average than their White counterparts due to student debt.”
In other words, higher education has yet to fully become the “great equalizer” Americans of all stripes thought it would be because 1) hiring discrimination is still a thing and so is 2) pay rate discrimination plus 3) astronomical student debt bakes in generational disparities.

They created a new, chaotic era of politics/democracy by allowing Trump/the GOP to govern by tweet. MTG, DT & ALL other elected nuisances who get booted from Twitter for inciting fascism created the precedent for their own exclusion, not just from social media but public office.
If social media’s really supposed to be a free market of ideas and conservatives really love free markets as much as they say they do, they should be able to let the chips fall where they may, but they can’t/won’t b/c they’re still butthurt that fascism lost the 2020 election. 🥴
Also the alt lefties are still mad that socialism lost the last 2 Democratic presidential primaries despite their damndest efforts to sabotage the process & because STILL WE RISE despite their online harassment, shadowbanning and slander. They all want a safe space for fuckery.

FYI, this is basically the same argument made by segregationists in opposition to the integration of public schools post Brown v. Board. The GOP knows its bigoted base has a muscle memory for despising the mitigating hand of the federal government & public school system. #JimCrow
Also it’s no coincidence that they’re stirring up a shit storm about CRT, LGBTQ, BLM and abortion simultaneously. They wage a culture war on every front possible b/c hatred and oppression of marginalized groups is what unifies Republican voters to GOTV. #SouthernStrategy101👺🤡👹
Evangelicals “seized on abortion not for moral reasons, but as a rallying-cry to deny President Jimmy Carter a second term. Why? Because the anti-abortion crusade was more palatable than the religious right’s real motive: protecting segregated schools.” politico.com/magazine/story…
