@GWRHelp please update internal train digital signage with stops and make matching announcements *before* the doors lock instead of after, as you always do, when it's too late to get off.
Coach 5 of 10 is not useful information at this point. Thx
Also, watching minutes of welcomes and security warnings scroll by when I just want to know if I'm on the right train is stressful.
If you want some extra motivation to improve this, perhaps consider what effect this has on people with anxiety. #MentalHealth
The internal signs should do *nothing* but continuously scroll the list of stops.
See it say it sort it, welcome to your journey on south west trains to somewhere you didn't want to go.

Tips for remembering people's names...
📝 When being introduced to everyone in an office, take the time to make a quick note in a notepad. Name + role.

👹Fear: not making eye contact, being rude.
😇 Reality: people really appreciate that you care enough about them to make the extra effort.
Use their name immediately.

I love how #Rust's Cargo command has single letter commands for things you do all the time. Clearly a tool built by real programmers for real programmers!
`cargo run` => `cargo r` Image
Of course you'd want to add some shell aliases so you don't even have to type out the whole thing. Optimise the hot path!

As a programmer who plans to keep doing forever it makes sense for me to optimise anything that I do a lot. Git commands and build/run commands definitely fit that. They are stable + I can build my own map of shorthand mnemonics.

Why do some developers code defensively and some only code the happy path for the task at hand?
I've seen both, I've mostly been on the defensive-coding side of the fence.
I'm not so sure I'm right. Maybe it's context dependant.
Defensive coding (I.e. spending time on quality & meaningful exceptions) makes debugging easier when things go of the rails.
