I have spent the last few weeks really digging deep into #backlinking. What I found, and I am starting to really understand what is happening thanks to @ahrefs. Here are some #backlink basics that I have learned. #SEO #digitalmarketing #onlinemarketing. 😃💡🪶🚦

💎Subdomains
Years ago we were told to not use #subdomains for any SEO purpose whatsoever. Turns out that Google likes subdomains and sees them as all part of the primary website.

💎 Zero Domain Ranking
There are all these websites that link to you that are just interlopers. They just happen because they are indexing the web. But the zero DR rankings hurt. Don't create zero DR sites and point them at each other. It will bring them all down.

💎Great Links Help You
Acquiring inbound links from top-ranked DR domains is great, but even better are those with DoFollow and not NoFollow.

💎DoFollow Links Are Best
Links on sites like Linkedin, Medium and many other sites are set as NoFollow. That means the #SEO power of those #backlinks are weaker to #Google search and your domain's ranking.

💎Not All Links Are The Same
Google interprets the link and understands the type and specifically the niche the link is from. So if you are a soccer website, links from another soccer website are best.

💎High Ranked Domain Links Are Not Hard To Get
I recently met with some #backlinking services, and they put a high $$ on getting you #backlinks, but some high DR backlinks are not that hard to get.
