[Thread] 1/ Below is a fake account that is part of a pro-Beijing and (at times) pro-Kremlin propaganda network that is currently tweeting about the #Uvalde shooting. The modus operandi is fairly similar > criticise US foreign policy or amplify divisive social issues in the US 
2/ At the moment it has amplified news of the shooting. Other accounts are providing 'contextual' information to highlight related social problems in the US. I.e. One fake account below is showing an infographic about 'tragic' causes of death in the US #Uvalde #disinformation
3/ , including 'bullets'. The network has shared videos and other information about shootings in the past. Below is one of the embedded videos about US gun violence in both Mandarin and English. The voiceover is in English, although sped up. #UvaldeMassacre
4/ It is not clear who runs the network, but having tracked it over time, there are thousands of accounts that post on issues related to Ukraine, Taiwan and Hong Kong. It generally reflects pro-Beijing narratives and focuses on issues related to China. It appears to be a live
5/ network that is able to replace deleted and suspended accounts quickly. Whether or not you agree with the content is irrelevant, it's a prime example of how deception networks exploit wedge issues in International Politics to *possibly* drive partisan politics. #Uvalde
