Russian invasion forces are quickly advancing in #Severodonetsk. Fighting in some areas of the city already stopped and pro-Russian inhabitants came out to get drunk and great the invaders.
In other areas of the city, fighting continues.
Very conservative map!
Absolute surreal source video.
Not only do pro-Russian inhabitants (those 10% that remained in the city) get excited to greet their new rulers.
Even more remarkable imho is that there is no fighting visible or audible, despite this scene playing in a major residential area ...
Also remarkable: Invasion forces here seem to be Wagner mercenaries only.
Another Wagner fighter in Severodonetsk, seemingly from Buryatia.
For those of you, claiming, "see, they want to be Russian", just check the 2019 election results.
No one doubts, 5% of the population prefers Putin over Zelensky.
And for those of you, accusing me of "pro-Kremlin propaganda", just unfollow and spare me of your nonsense.

Someone detonated the larger bridge over the Inhulets in Daydiv Brid, indicating ongoing fighting in the area. A small one remains.
There are unconfirmed claims of a Ukrainian counter offensive around the village for two days now, but I didn't see a geolocated video.
Just after this tweet, I spotted the first geolocatable video.
Ukrainian troops, attacking the Russian-helf village prior the alleged recent push.
M777 artillery is used and the bridge is still operational in the video.

Terrible footage from #Kherson oblast.
Russian troops foiled at least one push of the Ukrainian counter offensive, killing at least 17 (Russians say, 90) Ukrainian soldiers when they attacked occupied #Vyssokopillya from the north.
Seemingly heavy machine guns were used.
Oder so. 80 Wolfhound aus Großbritannien sind auf dem Weg in die Ukraine.
Aktuell trainieren ukrainische Truppen (in Polen und/oder der Ukraine) an dem Gerät.
I stayed in Mir hotel when I visited Severodonetsk 3 years ago.
It means the Russians reached the city limits, coming from the forests in the northeast of the city. This is (was!) a crowded residential area far away from the industrial part of the city.
Why do I always have to be right?!😡
Of course, this was no “sabotage and reconnaissance” team, but the spearhead of the Russian main force, reaching the city.
They won the battle for the hotel and now have a bridgehead in the city.
The battle for #Severodonetsk has started.

Pro-Kremlin accounts claim the Ukrainian line of defense collapsed around Popasna and Russian airborne troops advanced almost 15 km West.
This is unconfirmed, so I am not marking the area as Russian-held yet on my map. It is just for illustrative purpose.
ANNA is one source for the claim.
Massive Russian reinforcements arrived in Popasna prior the push. Seems to be real.

Russian invasion forces captured two more settlements in northern #Donetsk oblast, improving their offensive positions around the strategic Ukrainian town of #Lyman.

Russian invasion forces captured four more settlements in Luhansk oblast, advancing south and west of #Popasna and establishing fire control over the only road to #Zolote.
If you like it or not: This is really bad news for defending forces in the area.
And yes! I am very much aware that these Russian advances lie far behind the initial plans to capture Eastern 🇺🇦 - as I again mentioned in our TV program today.
However, there is still no general turning point, but 🇺🇦 advancing in Kharkiv and 🇷🇺 gaining ground in Luhansk&Donetsk.
