1. Bhagwat’s incendiary speech on #Gyanvapi mustn’t be ignored. He said an agitation for #Babri was necessary “for historical reasons”. In other words, RSS didn’t respect SC & participated in demolition of masjid. Does this mean that they’ll do something similar on Gyanvapi also?

2. Who is Mohan or Nadda to give an “assurance” on these issues? They hold no constitutional posts. Let @PMOIndia give a clear message that he stands by 1991 law. He has taken an oath on the Constitution. If he stands by it, all these Hindutva upstarts would have to stop

3. Before VHP was formed, Ayodhya wasn’t even on the Sangh’s agenda. It was only in 1989 with BJP’s Palanpur resolution that Ayodhya became part of the agenda.RSS has perfected political doublespeak. All of the jokers raising Kashi, Mathura, Qutub, etc have direct link to Sangh

4. It’s an old Sangh tactic to disown things when they’re unpopular while owning them later on (anyone remember Godse & his “friend” Savarkar?)

5. Even during Babri agitation; some’d say we’ll follow SC’s orders while others said this is a matter of astha & court cannot decide

6. Some would say give us only Babri & no other mosque will be touched. Others said only Ayodhya, Kashi & Mathura & many others said every medieval masjid. @BJP4Telangana President says every masjid in the state should be dug up. Their words aren’t worth paper they are written on

7. Mohan now says they’ll respect the court. Was there not an assurance given to SC that Babri will be protected? Yet, a mob of thousands demolished it. Advani calls it his saddest day but Fadnavis, Thackeray, etc fight compete to take credit. They have no respect for courts

8. The other explanation is that Sangh Parivar goons don’t listen to Modi or Bhagwat anymore. Both of them had condemned lynchings. Did they stop? Instead, we saw what they did during RN processions. It means that such things will continue unabated, and this is just a pretence

9. It’s for courts to nip it in the bud. If these things are allowed to fester, we’ll be allowing mobs to get emboldened

10. Mohan keeps saying that Islam came with invaders. In fact, it came via traders, scholars & saints, much before the first Muslim invaders came to India

13. Today’s Muslims - even if their ancestors were Hindu - are citizens of India by virtue of the Constitution. What if one starts saying that Bhagwat’s ancestors were forcibly converted from Buddhism?

14. From all their leaders, trolls & TV channels shouting from the roof tops that Gyanvapi will be 'taken back', suddenly, first BJP President Nadda and now Mohan have backtracked

15. Has Modi Govt cut a deal with the US to not get black listed on religious freedom?

16. On June 2, the State Dept has yet again, third year running, let-off the Sangh Parivar & Modi Govt on moving India to the Black List
