Law books publisher @LexisNexisIndia to contribute a sum of Rs. 1 Lakh each to the #AllahabadHighCourt Bar Association and the High Court Advocates' Association. It will also supply one set of all the Bare Acts published by it to both the Associations.
During hearing of a case, wrong publication of a Bare Act by the publisher came to light. Taking serious note, the High Court issued notice to the publisher to show cause as to why appropriate action be not taken against it for misleading the Court and members of the Bar.
In its affidavit, publisher stated that the error was not intentional and t will be more careful in future. It also told that an exercise has been started for updating Bare Acts.
However, as a 'good gesture', the publisher proposed to contribute the sum to the Bar Associations.

#SupremeCourt to pronounce orders in plea seeking stray counselling round for vacant seats in PG medical courses. #NEETPG
COURT: The students cannot pray for admission for those seats which are remaining vacant after almost one year and eight to nine rounds of counselling. When a conscious decision is taken by UOI and MCC it cannot be called arbitrary.
Court: There cannot be any compromise on merits or quality medical education which has impact on public health. Granting of such relief may affect medical education. CASE HAS BEEN DISMISSED.

Bench to ASG Balbir Singh: Don’t treat it and consider as an adversarial litigation. Don’t stand on technicalities. Its a question of 1456 medical seats. Government wants doctors of all kinds. They can serve the nation. These are not small number of seats.
Bench: We have read from the news paper that the counselling cannot be done as the site is closed. We are concerned about the nation. When we get 1400 PG doctors, it will be in larger interest also.

Swamy in his representation has said that the call for genocide of Brahmins will affect the fundamental rights of the community as they would not go to vote in election out of fear. It is alleged that this would make it easier for DMK to win in several constituencies.
The representation alleges that this threat is in violation of Representation of Peoples Act. @Swamy39 has said that he will adduce legal evidence and arguments for cancelling the registration of DMK and withdrawing their election symbol of rising sun.
