Meanwhile, the #BuildBackBetter#WaaheenMarket march in #Hargeysa, @Somaliland, continues. Today another important milestone has been reached. We have a plan, an approved conceptual structure, a winning #Sudanese company among the seven shortlisted proposals, and a time line.
We continue raising money for the funds needed to cover such an ambitious project costs. With the spirit of #SomalilandCan, the National Committee for the Support of Waaheen victims, the business and religious committee, the technical team are all working together to deliver.
1130 shops in 3 floors, 557 parking posts, electric elevators, services, state of the art for security, fire, and sanitation + separate but linked market for vegetables and meat. This will be a landmark and unique building for the Hargeysa, the Capital of Republic of Somaliland.

When you find the Manuscript you were looking for long time in one volume instead of the typical two volumes. This copy of the Jalaalayn has been transcribed in 935hijra (=1528 c.a). The oldest document stored in #BilalulHabeshaMuseum.
Thank you Addis.
I discovered quite by chance this new (2018) Museum in the heart of #AddisAbaba. Bilalul Habeshi is a community museum to create public awareness about Islamic heritage and their value. 140 Islamic Manuscripts among the other cultural and heritage material. @HargeysaCC@tirsity
Quran, hand written and other religious manuscripts but also an interesting MSS dealing with Botany, Astronomy Medicine, History, Law, Grammar, Numismatics, Biography and taxation. A place to be for researchers with interest of Islam in the Horn and indigenous knowledge. More ...
In the discussion, I also mentioned African Humanism as new enlightenment based on the endogenous & indigenous techniques and methods to generate knowledge in the #GlobalSouth.
Someone was so upset and felt attacked by this.
Others by my expression #decolonize the #decolonization
My point was and still remains not necessarily to antagonize the Western way of knowledge production but put aside and to mainstream our traditional techniques that fallen in disuse and take into formal education as another way of producing knowledge.
ISS @issafrica publishes an article by @PFabric on #BerberaCorridor, under the sensational title: "Abiy helps Somaliland put more facts on the ground." It is confusing,
not factual and I have a problem with it.
First, why @issafrica should publish such an article without even proofreading for the basics? I am surprised:
"Together with the US$442 billion expansion of the Port of Berbera .." It is not billion but million. But that is not my issue with it. @PFabric
My issue is what the title has to do with the content of the article? Did I miss something here? The article is not telling us any shape or form that PM @AbiyAhmedAli, and by extension current #Ethiopian policy, is supporting @Somaliland.
