What makes #Bitcoin unique from all previous forms of money is that it alone enables financial #sovereignty
That means, among other things:

* Nobody can change my #Bitcoin without my express consent

* I require no authority or intermediary to move my funds. They move to whom I say, when I say, with no intermediary who can gatekeep.
#bitcoin is not majoritarian. We have majoritarian money already. It's called "fiat."
It therefore does not matter to me what the majority do. The majority of people are sheep. The majority of people can't even grasp what I'm tweeting right now.
Financial sovereignty means that even if 90% of people agree to change Bitcoin in some awful way, MY Bitcoin don't change unless I give my consent to the change by agreeing to change the rules my full node validates.
That means that as an early investor in Bitcoin: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System, *my* Bitcoin remain the Bitcoin that implements a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System until I agree that's a bad idea and agree to implement different rules.
Several versions of Bitcoin have already changed the rules to implement something other than a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System.

There's a version out there that has implemented a data store of dog photos.
There's a version out there that has implemented a settlement layer for financial hubs, a sort of SWIFT 2.0.

That's ok. Bitcoin enables sovereignty so if people think that the Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System plan is a bad idea they're allowed to modify their Bitcoin.
But I think that SWIFT 2.0 is pretty boring, frankly. It's vastly less disruptive than the original version of Bitcoin that I signed onto, where any two willing parties can make casual transactions in a hard money bearer asset with no need of an intermediary or the use of IOUs.
I also don't think that the vast majority of #Bitcoin investors have any real idea what the original value proposition really was. Sheep follow their shepherds. #BTC investors have been shepherded into a get-rich-quick scheme called "store of value" or "number go up."
The thing is, there is no white paper for "Bitcoin: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Dog Photo Repository" or "Bitcoin: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Store of Value Settlement System for Financial Intermediaries."
None of the Bitcoin versions that reject the original Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System project concept have ever released their own white paper.
I would never invest in a project that didn't have its own vision statement, or worse, that squatted on a popular document they don't even agree with.

But that's what they've been doing for the last 5+ years.
Fortunately, as @lopp and @TuurDemeester and @CobraBitcoin and so many others have eloquently pointed out, #bitcoin really is about financial sovereignty, first and foremost.
And that is why *my* full node validates the Bitcoin chain that begins with the Satoshi Genesis block and which implements the Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System that I originally consented to.

#BCH is Bitcoin: a Peer-to-peer Electronic Cash System.
