Good afternoon #Oxford! We're excited to begin our last #StreetVoice Citizens' Jury session where jurors will work together to agree on a set of recommendations for the @OxfordshireCC. Stay tuned for updates and reflections throughout the afternoon!
To start the day, our #StreetVoice jurors have just heard from Claire Taylor (@OxfordshireCC) about how the County Council will receive their recommendations. Additionally, they have all been invited to take part in future discussion meetings with the County Council.
The #StreetVoice jurors have spent the last hour considering proposals linked to themes related to #transport, #health, and #climatechange. Very interesting discussions are underway!
After sharing important reflections and considerations, our #StreetVoice Jurors are enjoying a short break before coming back together to move towards a proposed set of recommendations. Just like in our past sessions, a delicious spread of cake is essential!
Our #StreetVoice jurors have begun to vote for which recommendations to send to the @OxfordshireCC. Final recommendations will be drafted into a report to be discussed in a September council meeting to feed into shaping travel planning in #Oxford in the coming years.
As we begin to reflect on the #StreetVoice Citizens' Jury process, here's a look back at the central question that our jurors aimed to tackle during this process.
Now that jurors have finished expressing their preferences for all recommendations, some discussions are still taking place as the jurors craft #StreetVoice recommendations that they can all support.
The #StreetVoice jury has agreed on a set of recommendations to go to the Oxfordshire County Council (@OxfordshireCC) on several interlinked themes: active travel, public transport, education and public engagement. No mean feat!
The project team would like to congratulate and thank the #StreetVoice jurors for all for their creativity, collaboration and commitment! We are excited to follow these recommendations as they are considered by @OxfordshireCC and help shape the future of #transport in #Oxford!
Thank you for joining us today and throughout the #StreetVoice Citizens' Jury process! Visit gchu.org.uk/street-voice/r… for further information about future steps and access to all the information provided by the witnesses during our past sessions.

Good Morning Oxford! We’re busy setting up for our second #StreetVoice Citizens’ Jury session. We’ve got a packed day full of interesting speakers and important discussions. Stay tuned as we will be posting updates throughout the day! ImageImage
Our #StreetVoice Jurors have arrived and are being briefed on today's schedule. We will then be revisiting the vision and principles agreed from the first Jury session last week before moving on to the first block of witnesses for the Jury to hear.
Our first group of witnesses will be focused on the topics of #publichealth, #climatechange and #transport. The #StreetVoice Jurors will have the opportunity to ask questions of the in-person speakers in groups afterwards. Image
