Tomorrow it is 8 years since the downing of passenger jet #MH17 by Russian forces in #Donbas

298 innocent people lost their lives - their relatives are waiting for justice - Russia is denying, lying and protecting the suspects, one of them is Russian warlord Igor Girkin🧵

Right after the shot down of MH17 Girkin was even celebrating online, because he thought they hit an Antonov AN-26 Ukrainian military transporter.

Later he realized it was a passenger jet and he deleted his posting. The same "AN-26 reporting" at Russian TV channel "Live News"..

After Russia and Russian proxies were aware about what actually happened, they launched a ton of conspiracy theories:
- "Ukrainians shot it down with a BUK missile"
- "Ukrainian jet attacked"
- "People on the plane were dead already (quote Girkin)"
- "It was a bomb"
etc.

Conspiracy theories, disinformation and Russian propaganda were circulating on Social Media, but not only there: Austrian MP Matznetter from the Social Democratic party said on TV that "he has doubts that the Russian side is responsible", and "Cui bono? - to whom is it a benefit"

Russia refuses Dutch request to hand over any of the MH17 suspects.

Russia is still spreading conspiracy theories, disinformation and "alternative versions" about #MH17.

They denied war crimes before and they do it when they attack malls, schools and universities in #Ukraine
