On Monday, 3 conservative activists in Portland (including Japanese-American evangelist Joey Gibson) are on trial. DA Schmidt accuses them of felony rioting for allegedly instigating a brawl at the Cider Riot pub in 2019 that was hosting Rose City Antifa.

In 2021, right-wing activist Ian Kramer was given 20-month prison sentence for knocking #Antifa member Heather Clark out after she rushed in to fight. Antifa & press said her neck was broken but her medical record showed no fracture/traumatic abnormality.

The Rose City Antifa event at Cider Riot in May 2019 was first time I was injured while reporting on #Antifa. A wanted suspect from the pub rushed at me & sprayed my face with bear mace to disable me from documenting their violence (PPB case 19-141701).

A student journalist from Oregon State covering the Rose City Antifa event like me was beaten & had his camera destroyed. To date, no one from the violent #Antifa side at Cider Riot was arrested by

Soon after the riot, Cider Riot shut down. I did a deep investigation that revealed the extent to which the business mislead state investigators to cover its tracks. It deleted CCTV video & the owner/staff provided false statements to investigators. thepostmillennial.com/shocking-truth…

The Oregonian also published a report on Cider Riot that exposed how the #Antifa pub had allowed its patrons to use "illegal weapons" & lied to state regulators. Maybe this is why the pub so quickly shut down? @repblumenauer was a supporter of the pub. oregonlive.com/news/2019/09/p…

I also see that Antifa members have been desperately trying to find out who the jurors are in the trial of conservative activists Joey Gibson, Russell Schulz & MacKenzie Lewis. (@MultCoDA charged them w/felony rioting not for actually rioting but allegedly instigating a brawl.)

Breaking: The judge in the Cider Riot #antifa case in Portland has dismissed the felony cases against conservative activists Joey Gibson & Russell Schultz. Mike Schmidt's prosecutors failed to demonstrate they engaged in tumultuous & violent conduct with a group (felony rioting).

A jury however will decide to convict or acquit the remaining defendant MacKenzie Lewis on the felony riot charge. Prosecutors allege he instigated a brawl against Rose City Antifa members outside the now-shuttered Cider Riot pub. (The pub was found to have misled investigators)

Joey Gibson's attorney, Angus Lee, gave reaction to @hunnybadgermom after his client's felony riot case was dismissed at trial. Mike Schmidt's office sought to heavily prosecute Gibson for political reasons due to Gibson's pro-Trump rallies in Portland.
