You may already know that The Graph makes data that exists on chain available to search.

However, unless you are a real die hard I'm going to guess you don't know that in Q4 2021

there were over 1.7 Billion searches made Per DAY!

The Graph has been actively gaining users since 2018 and been doing a VERY good job of it! (Obviously)

In an earlier thread I pointed out that adoption for this protocol has skyrocketed over the last 3 months.

It turns out there is a really good reason!

A large portion of their users have been using their HOSTED services.

This allowed them to use the protocol for free for quite some time.

It also allowed The Graph to start development before launching their token.

The Graph's aim is to decentralize, so the Hosted Service is being "Phased out" in favor of decentralized mainnet.

Migration of these "clients" otherwise known as Subgraphs. Is just getting started according to developers!

Oh and yes, the protocol requires their token $GRT to be spent to pay for Queries!
