1. @NotionHQ - free for students.
This is where I take my notes, organise my week, keep my protocols, have my to-do list, etc. Basically all my PhD content is there!
Highly recommend it. When I start the day, the first thing I check is my Notion board.
2. @SigmaOS - free for students/ launched for MacOS
Sigma is a browser specifically made for people who spend hours working on the web.
I organise all my tabs in different workspaces for my different projects. Makes me way more efficient and less distracted!
3. @Pitch - free for students.
Pitch is great to make beautiful and quick presentations. They have lots of templates and you can collaborate with your colleagues easily. This is where I make my lab meetings presentations.
4. @nounproject - free for all.
You can find all kinds of icons for your presentations or figures.
I personally design biology icons and upload them on there… Feel free to use them! 😃 You can find them here: thenounproject.com/lealortal/
5. @unsplash - free for all.
Unsplash has a wide portfolio of beautiful HD pictures and images which you can use on your presentations.
Thanks for reading! Hope these are as helpful to you as they are to me! 😃🤩
