#BengaluruFloods:
Bengaluru is a series of hills & valleys at 3100 ft above sea.

BBMP has 198 wards (soon 243).
741 sq. km. area.

80+% of city does NOT get flooded.

But if you live in a valley, chances of flood are high. Those were supposed to be lakes or paths to rivers.

#DH
...
When it rains heavily, and if you live in a low lying valley in Bengaluru, the amount of rain above your home doesn't matter.

It is the cumulative effect of rain water flowing from multiple hills nearby which floods your roads, IT parks & apartments. Water follows gravity.
...

Bengaluru has received the MOST amount of South West monsoon rain in its history, during 2022. And it has not ended yet. The next few days will be seeing massive rain.

Keep this in context when posting about #BengaluruRains.

Still majority of the city has done well.

On #VaccineCentury

1) India's critical medical infra improvement in the past 1 year under @narendramodi era.

For COVID19 treatment:

India had a total of 62,458 oxygen supported beds on April 21, 2020.
India had a total of 2,55,168 oxygen supported beds on April 9, 2021.

A 309% increase in 1 yr!
2) India had 27,360 ICU beds on Apr 21, 2020.
India had 75,867 ICU beds on Apr 9, 2021.
A 177% increase in 1 year.

India had 13,158 ventilators on Apr 21, 2020.
India had 23,618 ventilators on Jan 28, 2021.
A 80% increase in 1 year.

There are more, but for non COVID patients.
3) I know the above increases are still not enough, seeing of COVID 2nd wave deaths, but at least see how improvements. Note, just increasing the devices is not enough. We also need Doctors, Nurses and lab technicians ramped up at a much higher scale. That's the real challenge!

1) Most of us never observed our breathing techniques till we got to see how Corona Virus targets human breathing.

Oxygen, ICU, Ventilator, Remdesivir and everything else point to only 1 thing eventually.. the COVID patient is unable to breath properly as the lungs are affected.
2) What can you do to at least be in a better physical and mental position if the virus hits you in the future?

Develop better breathing techniques that make lungs stronger, and also make you more healthier mentally and physically. You might have a better chance to fight back.
3) One prominent Yogic breathing technique is #Pranayama. It is a collection of breathing routines from ancient India. Then there are very well constructed techniques like the Sudarshan Kriya of @ArtofLiving.

You learn to make your lungs more efficient to oxygenate the body well

1) For 13 months continuously, Maharashtra is in news as the worst performing state when it comes to Corona Virus control. Every single month!

Other states got spikes, panic, reliefs, plateaus etc., but if there is one state that was on the top of COVID cases list, it was MH.
2) Here is a recap:

In April Maharashtra became the first state in India to cross the 1000 COVID cases mark.
By May, MH topped 50,000 mark.
By June, MH overtook China, where the Wuhan origin virus originated.
By July, 3 lakh mark reached. Lockdown was mostly in effect still..
3) By August, politics was in full force, terming Maharashtra as the COVID capital of India.
By Sept, MH crossed the infamous 1 million mark. 25% of India's cases.
Even in October, MH was extending lockdown.
By November, cases were slowing, but still MH was India's chart buster.
