#SupremeCourt hears the plea filed by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Bar Association Kolkata regarding vacancies at the Calcutta Bench of CAT
ASG Balbir Singh: two new members have been appointed against the vacancy of 17. This was done around two weeks ago #CATVacancy
Justice DY Chandrachud: There are 7 vacancies for judicial members. For Calcutta two appointment orders have been issued?

ASG: yes till they join, the other two have been given extension of tenure
Petitioner points out that one appointment has been withdrawn

SC: yes Appointment order of Nandita Chatterjee has been withdrawn ? #CATVacancy
ASG says a clarification will be issued on Monday

Justice Chandrachud: we will have this matter next Friday.
