#Armenia_Russia: Putin is trying to save face for Russia. He argues that the military hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia do not take place in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) patrolled by Russian peacekeepers, but on the border of the two countries. Perhaps Putin overlooks⤵️
(consciously) the following aspects: 1) Russia and CSTO have obligations towards Yerevan. They are security guarantors for Armenia along with other CSTO members, including those that lean towards the West (such as Kazakhstan);⤵️
2) Instead of transferring responsibility for deterring attacks from Azerbaijan, Russia might do better by proposing a new deal whereby it would move 1,000 of its peacekeepers from Karabakh to Armenia's border with Azerbaijan.⤵️
Meanwhile, the CSTO assessment mission is gathering information saying that they do not make their preliminary findings public and try to remain objective (Will Azerbaijan admit wrongdoing, if CSTO comes to such conclusions? It is a rhetorical question).⤵️ 
Ironically, the CSTO mission visited the Russian military base in Armenia (#102), which apparently does not provide any support to the Armenian army (from what I could see in the media).
