OMG—of 60 migrants crossing from Colombia & Panama—the deadly Darién Gap (where road building is impossible)—➡️Only 22/60 survived trek across the 60 miles of jungle & steep mountains. Some fell from cliffs, others swept away by flood waters. 📍2 made it to Martha’s Vineyard.😢
I’ll admit… I cried reading all these survive stories among #MarthasVineyard trapped migrants.

Scientists have developed a mask that lets wearers know if they’ve been exposed to COVID or influenza. A sensor built into a mask was able to detect the #COVID19, H5N1 & H1N1 viruses in the air within 10 minutes and send notifications to a device.

2) The new device, which is mounted outside the mask with a rechargeable lithium battery, was tested by spraying pathogens on it in an indoor setting, simulating a scenario where someone is talking or coughing.
3) Sensors responded to liquid about 70 to 560 times less than the amount produced in a sneeze, sending alerts to wireless devices like a phone.

No cost estimates were published on the accessory.

Heck no. With all due respect, @JoeBiden — you’re wrong. Pandemic is not over. Almost 3,000 Americans are dying from #COVID19 every single week.

A weekly 9/11 is a very big deal. Don’t even get me started on #LongCOVID—wreaking havoc on millions more.
I hope every Democratic Member of Congress joins me in questioning the administration on this. Tell @JoeBiden — don’t revoke #COVID19’s status as a Public Health Emergency. Don’t declare “Mission Accomplished” too soon.
Damnit people… we have seen the “it’s over” dismissive nonsense before. Remember in May 2021 when CDC dropped mask mandate? Remember how many died in the subsequent August-September 2021 #DeltaVariqnt wave and then the Dec-Feb first #Omicron wave??? SMH

ICYMI—the CDC put out a nationwide warning about an outbreak of enterovirus #D68 last week. Between all the DOJ investigations & royal news, you probably missed it. But hospital pediatric beds are filling up with with this respiratory outbreak.
2) Yes, doctors report PICU hospital beds are full.
3) Here is the CDC warning— EV-D68 — a virus that in rare cases can trigger a polio-like syndrome — is circulating. That could presage a surge in cases of acute flaccid myelitis or #AFM in the coming weeks, experts warn.
