As of this morning, #Invest98L was located near the northern coast of South America along the Venezuelan coastline.
It produced scattered showers and thunderstorms for the extreme southeastern Caribbean islands. bit.ly/3LDfeaO
In the short term, #Invest98L is in the southeastern Caribbean.
This means places like Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Lucia will likely see heavy rain, gusty winds and rough seas. bit.ly/3LDfeaO
Even though #HurricaneFiona will stay hundreds of miles east of the U.S. East Coast, its indirect impacts will be felt along the Atlantic beaches from #Florida to #Maine. bit.ly/3BzdISf
#HurricaneFiona is the first major hurricane of the Atlantic season, and the already-deadly storm is forecast to intensify even more as it tracks toward Bermuda.
#Fiona is currently a Category 3 storm with 115 mph winds near the Turks and Caicos Islands.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, the center of #HurricaneFiona is starting to slowly move away from the eastern Turks and Caicos and could approach Bermuda late Thursday or early Friday.
#Fiona could become a powerful Category 4 hurricane as it passes close to Bermuda.
A Hurricane Warning is still in effect for the Turks and Caicos Islands. A Hurricane Warning means sustained winds of at least 74 mph are expected.
Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the southeastern Bahamas and a Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Bermuda. #Fiona
