Week 4 Fantasy football Takeaways

To get ready for Week 5.

Here. We. Go.
#Vikings

Dalvin Cook didn’t seem limited by his shoulder.

22 touches for 86 yards, but Alexander Mattison got the TD on just four touches.

Woof.
Justin Jefferson is FINE. More than fine actually.

The Vikings WR earned 13 targets to the tune of 10 catches for 147 yards.

Added a rushing TD.

37% target share.
#Saints

Alvin Kamara was ruled out.

In his absence, Latavius Murray led the backfield in carries (11) to Mark Ingram’s 10.

Ingram led the backfield with 3 targets, but Murray rushed for more yards (57 versus 30).

He also earned the lone RB goal-line carry at the 1-yard line
Taysom Hill also added 5 carries for 21 yards and 1 TD (from 2-yard line).

Andy Dalton started at QB, but Chris Olave’s status as the WR1 did not change.

Led team in targets (7) for the third straight week and scored.

Marquez Callaway was second with 6 targets.
#Steelers

On their own 32-yard line, QB sneak for Kenny Pickett on 4th down…

After Mitchell Trubisky was replaced in the 2nd half.

The rookie QB converts.

Ballsy.
Rookie QB would go on to score two rushing TDs.
With Pickett at QB in the 2nd half.

Pat Freiermuth: 4 targets
George Pickens: 4 targets - 71 receiving yards*
Diontae Johnson: 2 targets
Chase Claypool: 1 target
Zach Gentry: 1 target

No targets for Najee Harris all game.
#Jets

What did the Jets offense look like with Zach Wilson a QB?

Only 36 attempts.

Target pecking order:

Corey Davis (7)
Garrett Wilson (6)
Breece Hall (6)
Tyler Conklin (5)
Elijah Moore (4)
Breece Hall (19 vs 11) dominated the touches over Michael Carter.

17 carries versus Carter’s 9. Including the game-winning TD.

It's happening.
#Bills

Both Jamison Crowder and Isaiah McKenzie exited with injuries.

Rookie Khalil Shakir would likely see a bump in usage, as would Jake Kumerow.

Also a boost for Dawson Knox, who also saw six targets.
Stefon Diggs only had 6 targets (4-62).

Gabriel Davis nearly blanking again with one catch on 3 targets.
Devin Singletary led the backfield (15 touches). 75% opportunity share.

Zack Moss had 3.

James Cook had zero (1 target).

Singletary relied on IN THE passing game again…

With four catches for 47 yards on 5 targets.
#Ravens

Welcome back J.K. Dobbins.

Ravens RB led backfield with 17 touches for 63 yards and two scores.

Him getting goal-line touches is super key for his fantasy success.

Rashod Bateman led the team in targets (6).

Nobody blew up in this game.
Rainy, wet conditions.
#Lions

Holy points. No Swift. No Sun God.

Enter the Hock’s nest.

TJ Hockenson went NUCLEAR.

8 catches for 179 yards including an 81-yard gain.

2 TDs on team-leading 12 targets.
Josh Reynolds with 8 targets, converting 7 for 81 and 1 TD.

Jamaal Williams: 19 carries and 3 targets.
108 rushing yards and two TDs.

Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson combined for 7 touches.
#Seahawks

Rashaad Penny was a workhorse in Week 4, seizing 17 carries for 151 yards

And two rushing TDs. Ken Walker totaled 8 carries for 29 yards.

Each had 1 target.
DK Metcalf led team in targets (10)

7 catches for 149 yards.

Tyler Lockett was also solid.

6 catches for 91 yards on 8 targets.

Will Dissly saw more targets (4) than Noah Fant (1).
#Commanders

A 3-headed RB committee is quickly approaching.

Antonio Gibson - 16 touches
Jonathan Williams - 5 touches
JD McKissic - 11 touches

Brian Robinson’s return is not good for Gibson.
Curtis Samuel, Like clockwork. Leads team in targets (7).

TEs Logan Thomas and John Bates each saw 6.

Terry McLaurin also 6 and Jahan Dotson with 4 targets.

But Dotson scored. And McLaurin went 2-15. Boom-or-bust.
#Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb continues to lead team in targets every week (8)

Followed by Noah Brown (6).

Dalton Schultz continues to struggle with Cooper Rush.

0 catches on 3 targets.

Michael Gallup made his season debut…

And caught a TD on one of his 3 targets.
Ezkeiel Elliott earned 19 carries…for 49 yards (2.6 ypc)

Tony Pollard just 6 yards on 8 carries (0.8 ypc). Woof.

Pollard saw 1 more target than Zeke (3 vs 2).
#Browns

David Njoku season LIVES ON.

Seven targets. 5 catches for 73 yards. YLTSI.
Same can’t be said for Amari Cooper.

Because when everything looks perfect...

He goes 1 for 9 on 4 targets.

I blame myself honestly for falling for it.
Donovan Peoples-Jones led the team in targets (9), like back in Week 1.

Nick Chubb 21 touches for 127 yards and 1 TD.

Kareem Hunt 12 touches for 68 yards.

Same old same old.
#Falcons

Cordarelle Patterson came in extremely banged up. As a result, he saw just 9 carries.

Zero in the passing game. 0 targets.

Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley each saw 10 carries. Allgeier ripped off a 42-yard run and avg 8.4 ypc

Make sure he is not on any waiver wire.
Everybody bombed in the passing game for Atlanta.

Because they were so effective on the ground.

Mariota only completed 7 passes…(37%).

Don’t hold it against Drake London, Kyle Pitts etc.

Especially London and his 39% target share.
#Colts

Extremely quiet day for Jonathan Taylor on the ground. Just 42 rushing yards on 20 carries.

Only 3 targets. Exited with an ankle injury. Not good. He plays on Thursday.

Add Deon Jackson off waivers.
Mo Alie-Cox caught two TDs on a team-leading six targets.

85 receiving yards on 6 catches.

The TE carousel continues...

Rookie Alec Pierce also saw 6 tgts converting 4 for 80 yards.

Michael Pittman with 6 tgts, but finished with 3 for 31 yds.

0 targets in 2nd half. LOL
#Titans

Treylon Burks carted into the locker room. Just three targets in Week 4.

Robert Woods led with 4 catches for 30 yards.

TE Chigoziem Okonkwo led in yards (38) on three targets.
Derrick Henry doing more in the receiving game for a second straight week.

5-plus targets again!

With 114 rushing yards on 22 carries (1 TD).

Added 3 catches for 33 yards.
#Eagles

Have a day Miles Sanders. The Eagles RB totaled 134 rushing yards on 27 carries.

Added 2 catches on 3 targets. 77% opportunity share.

Also scored from the 5-yard line and 10-yard line. RED ZONE WORK!
Kenneth Gainwell without Boston Scott? 7 touches.

But scored once, and Hurts missed him near the end zone.
A.J. Brown: 5-95 on 7 targets. Rain can’t stop him.

DeVonta Smith not so much. Three catches for 17 yards (4 targets).
#Jaguars

Travis Etienne Jr. and James Robinson split carries (8 each).

Jrob one carry in the 2nd half.

Neither was used as a receiver. (Combined for 1 target).
RB/WR Jamal Agnew got more looks with six targets and 4 catches.

Alongside two TDs…

Christian Kirk posted team-leading 9 targets (39% target share)

Just two catches, but 60 yards.

Nobody else saw more than 2 targets.

Trevor Lawrence completed less than 50% of his passes.
#Bears

The Bears passing game has life…kind of.

Justin Fields season-high 22 attempts!

Darnell Mooney (on all fantasy benches)

4 catches for 94 yards.

56 yards came on one catch (5 targets)
Khalil Herbert got the bellcow usage.

Totaled 20 touches for over 100 yards. 69% opportunity share.

But no TDs.
#Giants

Good lord, does Saqoun Barkley look great.

31 carries for 146 yards. Added two catches.

RB1 overall consideration every week.
Daniel Jones rushed for 68 yards and 2 scores. But was getting work on his ankle.

Left game, but came back because Tyrod Taylor also got hurt.

Daniel Bellinger led the Giants in targets (3) and yards (23). Yikes.

Kadarius Toney, please come back soon…
#Texans

Dameon Pierce continues to bully carries in the Texans backfield.

He had 14 carries for 131 yards. Nobody else had any.

Highlight was his 75-yard TD score.
But oh baby, that’s just the surface.

6 targets and 6 receptions.

Second in each behind only Brandin Cooks.

Receiving usage we haven’t seen yet from the rookie.

His role is growing by the week…
#Chargers

Austin Ekeler with 13 carries for 60 yards in the most exploitable matchup.

You’ll take it. Along with the 3 TDs.

But he combined for just 3 more carries then Sony Michel/Joshua Kelley (10).

Sell high. Keenan Allen coming back isn’t going to increase his targets
Mike Williams did what he does when Allen misses.

Ball.

11 targets for 7 catches, 120 yards and 1 score.

Gerald Everett also maintained his status as an every week TE start.

6 targets, 5 catches for 61 yards and 1 TD.
#Packers

Per usual, Aaron Jones (16) and AJ Dillon (17) split carries.

Allen Lazard and Romeon Doubs both had 8 targets.

But Doubs fumbled and also dropped a 2nd TD in the end zone.

Christian Watson also saw three targets and had a rushing TD.
#Patriots

Brian Hoyer left with a head injury, inserting rookie Bailey Zappe into the starting lineup (called it)

Rhamondre Stevenson was his most-targeted player (4)

Followed by
Nelson Agholor (3)
Hunter Henry (3)
Kendrick Bourne (2)
DeVante Parker (1)
Jonnu Smith left the game late in the second quarter with trainers.

Stevenson (18 touches) and Damien Harris (19 touches)...

Leaned on heavily without Mac Jones.

^^expect this to continue
#Cardinals

James Conner 18 touches for 77 yards and no TDs.

Eno Benjamin and Darrel Williams combined for 10 touches.

Marquise Brown continued to be target hog (11 targets)

Despite Rondale Moore returning to the lineup (5 targets).
#Panthers

Christian McCaffrey just 8 carries for 27 yards. But finally (FINALLY)

Got used more like a receiver. Nine targets, nine catches for 81 and 1 TD.

D’Onta Foreman had just one carry.
It’s over for DJ Moore.

Finally got the target volume (11).

6 catches for 50 yards.

That’s the boom game we all waited for. Sigh.
#Raiders

Monster day for Josh Jacobs. 144 rushing yards on 28 carries.

Also rolled over his receiving usage from last week…

5 catches on 6 targets for 31 yards.

33 touches.
Zamir White had just two carries. Brandon Bolden one target.

Davante Adams back on top (13 targets, 43% target share)

Darren Waller continues to disappoint.

3 catches for 24 yards.

Without Foster Moreau or Hunter Renfrow. Woof.
#Broncos

Melvin Gordon fumbled late second quarter…fourth of the season.

It was his first touch of the game. He would have 2 more.

Javonte Williams got hurt in the third quarter.

Was quickly ruled out. Broncos play on Thursday this week.
Mike Boone was the next man up, not Gordon.

MG3 had two carries after his fumble. Boone had three but also was targeted thrice.

Boone is a must-add off waivers before Week 5.
Courtland Sutton - 28% target share and finally scored.

Jerry Jeudy also scored on one of his 5 targets.

Albert Okwuegbunam was not targeted.

Greg Dulcich is coming back off IR. Drop.
