Does the oldest Vedic material suggest that reincarnation was the ancient view, or something ancestral like other nature-oriented religions? #Reincarnation
As far as I know (which is very little) there is no explicit mention of reincarnation or Karma in the Rig Veda.
These ideas are first articulated in the Brahmanas and the latter sections of the Vedas known as the Upanishads. #Reincarnation
The most beautiful and complete formulation of the doctrine of karma and reincarnation is given in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad belonging to the Shukla Yajur Veda and considered to have been composed about 300 BCE. #Reincarnation
When the embodied jiva departs (upon death), sense organs follow. It attains a subtle state as per its state of consciousness, past actions & latent vāsanas (habits, subliminal activators). This is conditioned by actions performed during its embodiment
& natural tendencies.
Just as a worm coming to the end of a blade of grass reaches out and takes hold of another and draws itself forward, in the same manner an embodied jiva withdrawing from this physical body makes the transition to another body. #Reincarnation
Just as a goldsmith takes an old piece of jewellery & fashions it into a better form, so does the embodied jiva cast off the old body & make for itself a newer form like that of ancestors, angelic beings, gods, like Prajapati or Brahma or any other being. #Reincarnation
The individual Self (jiva) in its intrinsic nature is qualitatively equal to Brahman the Supreme Being, but in the embodied state it identifies itself with the understanding, the mind, life-breath, sight, hearing, physical nature, with the emotional nature, #Reincarnation
with the air, space, energy, and absence of energy, desire & absence of desire, anger & absence of anger, righteousness & absence of righteousness and with every other facet of the material world. #Reincarnation
What one becomes is dependent upon one's actions, and attitudes. The doer of good deeds becomes good, the doer of evil deeds becomes evil. One becomes virtuous by virtuous actions and bad by evil actions. #Reincarnation
Others however will add that a person consists of desires. As is one’s desire so is one’s intention; as is the intention so is the deed that is done, and one’s deeds condition what one will become. (Brhad Aranyaka Upanishad 4:1:1 – 5) #Reincarnation

Also because He is the destroyer of the devatas, as per a Smrti shloka quoted by Svaami Vijayeendra Teertha Shripaadagalu, in Shaiva-Sarvasva Khandanam of Nyaayamauktikamaala.

Being the destroyer who destroys Brahmaa, Indra, Rudra, Yama & Varuna, he is known as ‘Hari’.
Shukracharya: A great knowledgeable person who was respected even by Devas and Saints. He was an expert in Political Science. He founded the Shukra Niti. In his niti he has laid down the following points:

One should never reveal certain things in front of others.
It’s great if you are loved and respected by all, but don’t show it off in front of others- doing so will lower your respect in the eyes of others

If you have to face insult at any point in your life, it’s best to keep it to yourself; telling that to everyone you know will make you feel insulted in front of others as well.

Tantra is an abstract religion, it doesn't have a clear definition. Different seekers define it differently, many not even consistent with each other. Tantra, though, is clearly recognized as being very different from the ancient Hindu Vedic tradition. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Before trying to delve into tantrism, it is important to understand that this is not a single coherent system. It is rather a tradition that gradually evolved from an accumulation of practices and rituals, in order to attain the grace of the divine. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The practitioner of tantra uses his own prana or divine energy in order to harness it to the universal prana, thereby attaining his goal. The goal in question could be either spiritual, material or both. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Tantra in Hinduism could be considered to be parallel to the Hindu Vedic tradition. Tantra contains written records of the Agama, which comes in four main parts, as follows: #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Jnana or metaphysical knowledge
Yoga or meditative practices
Kriya or ritual practices
Charya or ethical and religious principles of conduct #SanatanaDharma#Hinduism
Most of the staunch Hindu Vedic practitioners, however, consider the Tantras to be anti-Vedic in character and hence, altogether shun both the cult and the practitioners of the same. #SanatanaDharma#Hinduismtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
The universe consists of a Mahabrahmanda, or grand Cosmos, and of numerous Brihatbrahmanda, or macrocosms evolved from it. As is said by the Nirvana Tantra, all which is in the first is in the second. #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
In the latter are heavenly bodies and beings, which are microcosms reflecting on a minor scale the greater worlds which evolve them. "As above, so below." This mystical maxim of the West is stated in the Vishvasara Tantra as follows: #spirituality#Cosmostwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
