What is a centralized, a decentralized and a Distributed network? And why does it concern you?
These three different types of network are the backbone of today's internet.
Where are they used? Everywhere Twitter, google even the website from the pizzeria that you makes use of one of these networks.
Of course to get a simple website up you don't need to know what type of network you are using or should you?
Let's explain what each network means in everyday use technically and in a later thread as to their philosophy.
Centralized networks (CN) : These are everywhere in our daily life the page of the pizzeria, the online store where we buy anything.
They are centralized because these pages and services are housed, their data is stored on a server, a computer somewhere in the world.
If that computer shuts down for some reason you will stop have access to that page, if it's destroyed the page will be destroyed with...
... it, if someone hacks into the management of that computer then they have complete control of that page.
Decentralized networks (DNs): are networks that do not depend on a computer. Data is stored on a set of computers. So even if one is destroyed, shut down or compromised the data is accessible by the others.
undefined These...
... computers may be a single computer in a house or the data can be stored and handled and at a large database. The point here is that a decentralized network cannot be shut down by any means. The data that is stored can never be deleted.
Distributed Networks (DN) : A DN is used by large multinational companies like Amazon, Google etc. the feature is that the data is not housed in one computer but in many which are however under the full control of the companies.
The owners can edit at will the data they have, change it and delete it.
That's about it as far as the technical part is concerned. In another thread I will elaborate on the philosophy behind the positives and negatives of each form of network.

1/16 So where are centralised and decentralised networks used?
2/16 We will not talk about the pizzeria on the corner, of course, but about much more important everyday activities.
When we log into our bank account we enter a centralized network completely controlled by the bank.
3/16 If the bank wants to tomorrow morning it can deny us access to it.

1/16 Που λοιπόν χρησιμοποιούνται τα κεντροποιημενα και τα αποκεντροποιημενα δίκτυα;

So what are the pros and cons of each form of network?
I'll start with the Centralized Networks (CN). The pros for the end user you: 1) Free interaction. 2) No need to have technical/computational knowledge . 3) Speed of command execution. 4) Ability to correct errors.
On the negatives: 1) data security 2) network stability 3) network accessibility

Ποια είναι λοιπόν τα υπέρ και τα κατά κάθε μορφής δικτύου ;

1/ And now let's take a look at the philosophical side of the differences between a centralized and a decentralized network
2/ Generally a centralized network is perceived ,by the Blockchain and technology community , a network which an entity (be it a company, an individual, or a board) can spoof its data and/or pull down the switch of that network.
3/ Based on this definition and Distributed Networks are also centralized.
