When I was suffering with severe period pain (which turned out to be endometriosis), he sent a sexist message about how I was "bleeding out" to get out of work /4

Oh, and this was your response. That you're "investigating" things. Did a lot of good, didn't it? /5

@TheGPhC do you remember me reaching out to you about this too? Do you remember your response?

"No physical harassment" so you let everything slide - what kind of response is that to this sort of behaviour? Is this the type of behaviour that characterises @TheGPhC? /6

Before anyone mentions it, yes I went to the @metpoliceuk. No, they didn't do anything.

I also went to my indemnity insurer. Also got nothing. /7

This man is STILL a practising, registered pharmacist. He has faced NO repercussions for his behaviour.

I, on the other hand, have faced loss of income and mental health issues. I have received NOTHING in compensation for this. /8

I'm making this public because I am fed up of the institutions that are supposed to protect us being the culprits in allowing this behaviour to perpetuate and traumatise women. You are ALL culpable for the damage that this man has caused me. /9

The same institutions that celebrate #InternationalWomensDay /10

These institutions make it as difficult as possible for survivors and victims of sexual abuse to report the abusers. The onus is on us to bring all the evidence, collate and compile hundreds of pages of documents, all the while battling how trauma has damaged our minds /11

Also, this isn't just some man being creepy. His repeated, persistent behaviour traumatised me. I would physically shake whenever he called my mobile or sent a message (which he would do frequently).

He undermined my professional practice to the point it destroyed my confidence

I'm back at work now, but not before I took a long break. I wanted to quit my career completely, a career I worked very hard for.

He abused his position as a professional mentor. #MeToo

Just to clarify, he was not my lecturer. I have never attended @LSBU

We worked together in a GP practice. He left for his new job. We kept in touch, as you do with colleagues. Only, no other colleague whose number I have has ever spoken to me like this

I notified @LSBU as soon as I had realised I was being abused (after I'd blocked him). Their response was appallingly vague. I couldn't find out more as he was their employee and I was not nor was I a student of theirs.

Although if I was, would I have got justice either way?
