I'm speaking at or attending a few events over the next few weeks.

In particular, this week I'm at #FYUZ22 in Madrid, which is a hybrid event run by @TelecomInfraP O-RAN Alliance and @Meta_Cx
Next week I'm at @Terrapinn @totaltelecom #TTCongress, speaking on one panel (about enterprise needs) and moderating another about rural connectivity

I'm also planning to be at @CambWireless #CWIC22 which is more about human "hyperconnectivity" for metaverse, healthcare etc

Then the next week I'll be in Riyadh for the @CITC_SA / @ITU event about satellite, HAPs and other similar connectivity platforms

I'm on a panel about integrating terrestrial & space systems, and I expect I'll be mentioning #6G plans & hybrid networks

In the satellite / HAPS session at #FYUZ22

Panellist from @InmarsatGlobal @omnispace @midokura @AalyriaTech

Omnispace working via roaming using 3GPP standards

Sony unit midokura does sensing units (using any connectivity, wireless or fixed)
Interesting from Inmarsat talking about fit of O-RAN or possibly @SmallCell_Forum nFAPI with LEO satellites

Could put bits of RU/DU in space

RIC could have an NTN-specific xApp - very different problems for RF & spectrum management in space domain, eg moving satellites
Open RAN framework eg O-RAN could make it easier for multiple satellite providers to avoid reinventing the wheel for cellular connectivity

Sessions today are about green networks & sustainability

Solemn introductions by Guy & Antia Doehler of NGMN commemorating yesterday's sad loss of the Queen
@NGMN_Alliance @guydaniels @TelecomTV First speaker is @martineaus , a #COP26 adviser on sustainability, setting wider global & societal context for the telecom industry.

Notes GSMA stats (31% more traffic, 5%+ electricity, 2%+ CO2 in 2021) show that they are "decoupled". But notes that last number must fall
Interestingly that suggests to me one of the more absurd arguments I've heard recently "we must reign in data traffic growth to reduce CO2 emissions" or "don't send that email" (!!) is a fallacy.

We know it, sustainability advisers know it, so let's stop pretending bits = CO2
