'Low Traffic Neighbourhoods reduce air pollution within and around intervention areas' @audreydenazelle is now presenting data from the @imperialcollege study on assessing impacts of LTNs on air pollution and traffic flows #UrbanTransitions2022 Image
"LTN implementation was found to reduce NO2 statistically significantly within both the intervention areas (5.7%) and in boundary areas (8.9%), compared to the external control sites without LTN implementation." #UrbanTransitions2022 ImageImage
"Similar effects were also found in traffic volumes, which were reduced by 58.2% within LTNs and by 13.4% at LTN boundary sites (without statistical significance)." #UrbanTransitions2022 ImageImageImage
"Neighbourhood traffic reductions measures are able to reduce air pollution and traffic in target areas, without necessarily causing displacements in surrounding streets." #UrbanTransitions2022 Image

Good afternoon #Oxford! We're excited to begin our last #StreetVoice Citizens' Jury session where jurors will work together to agree on a set of recommendations for the @OxfordshireCC. Stay tuned for updates and reflections throughout the afternoon!
To start the day, our #StreetVoice jurors have just heard from Claire Taylor (@OxfordshireCC) about how the County Council will receive their recommendations. Additionally, they have all been invited to take part in future discussion meetings with the County Council.
The #StreetVoice jurors have spent the last hour considering proposals linked to themes related to #transport, #health, and #climatechange. Very interesting discussions are underway!

Good Morning Oxford! We’re busy setting up for our second #StreetVoice Citizens’ Jury session. We’ve got a packed day full of interesting speakers and important discussions. Stay tuned as we will be posting updates throughout the day! ImageImage
Our #StreetVoice Jurors have arrived and are being briefed on today's schedule. We will then be revisiting the vision and principles agreed from the first Jury session last week before moving on to the first block of witnesses for the Jury to hear.
Our first group of witnesses will be focused on the topics of #publichealth, #climatechange and #transport. The #StreetVoice Jurors will have the opportunity to ask questions of the in-person speakers in groups afterwards. Image
