[THREAD #ELROND REBRAND IN #MULTIVERSX]

A lot of ink has been spilled on the subject, but I still want to give you my opinion, some like, some hate, some applaud the strategy but not the name itself

First of all, from a marketing point of view, a rebrand is never easy and the recent slow descent to hell of Facebook aka Meta, does not help. I think this is one of the reasons why the market reacted badly, a rebrand around the Metaverse, it has already worried a lot

But in my opinion, the rebranding has attracted all the attention, without most people understanding it really.

Of course, there were problems with Tolkien, but that's not why it happened, far from it.

I advise you to watch again Beniamin's keynote on day 1, since the end of Elrond's history, concentrate on each word, on each illustration, analogy, in order to really understand the vision until the end of the trailer

The narrative is absolutely powerful, understand the path of humanity, of the universe and life, to understand its evolution and how to be inspired to build the virtual world of tomorrow

For Beniamin, the metaverse will never be a dystopian substitute for our universe, it must be its absolute complementarity, which is why the name Multiverse is the most appropriate word.

What MultiversX wishes to develop is not just a metaverse.

Like the metaverse which is only a world underlying our own universe which itself is an underlying world of the hypothetical multiverse from the physical point of view. 

The building of a solution wishing to imbricate this two worlds and to contain them, could only be named:

I can easily understand that the name is not easy to use every day, as it will not be easy to build this vision. But it is the perfect representation of this new paradigm 

But why MultiversX? Well, I think I figured it out.

The X in ancient Egypt represents the staff and the whip of Osiris, the staff is the identifier of the shepherd and the whip as a symbol of his power and his sovereignty.

The pharaohs were mummified with their arms in X to show their devotion to Osiris, and is therefore a sign of death.

Then in Hebrew, the X is associated with the letter Samekh which represents the skeleton of the world, the framework that supports creation. A mysterious structure that evokes matter, spirit and life as a universal force or energy that flows through everything

From a biblical point of view, understand Samekh is understand the structure of the world: it is to realise that duality is part of unity, and this realisation makes fears and anxieties disappear, even though we may sometimes feel a sense of disorder

And this letter represente also a person pulling an arrow with a bow, the arrow's whistle recalling the whistle of the letter X

In occultism, the X is the symbol of the Ouroboros, a snake that bites its own tail, a sign of immortality and an infinite cycle of renewal.

And we can also see a reminder of the crossbones of the pirates and this DNA strand that we see at the beginning of the trailer.

Do you see the connection? The X represents the death and renewal of Elrond but also the respect and devotion to the vision from which the project was born,

MultiversX wants to be the archer who shoots the arrow of innovation, to show the way, but also be the shepherd, who takes care of his community, while allowing them to keep their power, their sovereignty, their privacy, their ownership while proudly brandishing a will of freedom

Like the shepherd, MultiversX will seek to guide this innovation of the metaverse on the right path and to avoid any drift that would not correspond to our current philosophical standart, to tame the regulation but also to influence the political future

A Mutliverse in constant renewal, always in search of improvement, at the service of life, and not to submit it and imprison it in a dystopian metaverse.

A Multiverse as the skeleton of our new existence in these two realities, which are part of a single entity.

I'm going far, i know, but even if it's only my own interpretation and philosophical representation, it matches absolutely well with Beniamin's discourse, Elrond's past and future philosophy, as well as that bit of Apple, which has always been focused on the user and his security

So, like Apple and its heightened attention to detail and user experience, Elrond has chosen the X as a flag bearer to represent their product and their vision, It's more than just a copycat of Elon Musk's branding. 

It's the perfect combination of Apple, Meta and Tesla/SpaceX

Finally, one more thing to add, even if the name may seem to borrow the hype of the metaverse, it is not, as Beniamin says, we have to see beyond the hype, we have to see the original idea and the incredible evolution that it could bring to human interaction

MultiversX speaks to everyone, linked to the product it offers, everyone directly understands the philosophy and culture of the company and this will greatly help MultiversX with the public as well as with companies, regulators, and politicians whose vision will have to convince.

For if there is anything we have learned during this cycle, it is that monkeying around, as much as we love it, is not compatible with adoption. We must tame this regulation, influence it according to our ideals, our will to more sovereignty, and --

-- this is, at least, what I believe MultiversX has already shown by topping the BCE and their liberticidal CBDC will, by creating a digital euro before them. 

We already have an alternative

Last thing to add, @beniaminmincu showed us all his talents as a storyteller and visionary in the making, it may be a lot to compare him to Steve Jobs, but he definitly borrows some talent from him
