Having a DID as your Digital Identity means 3 things:
• Interoperability: your data and followers will never be isolated in walled gardens
• Uncensorability: no platform will be able to block your account
• Control: if you own the key, you are the master of your DID

Another aspect in which Zion is embracing #Web5 is message and data storage.
They are going to integrate the Decentralized Web Node standard into their open-source relay.

In practice, this means that communications occurring through Zion will be incensurable and private.
No one will be able to stop you from saying what you have to say.
No one will be able to spy on you since only your DID will have access to your messages and data.
