🧵Immune Surveillance

Here we will look at the immune systems role in preventing cancer.
1/ The immune system has the main role of removing pathogens, but it also has the role or removing harmful or unwanted cells that have mutated and gone rogue. The immune system has several functions geared toward monitoring the health of cells.
2/ First we will looks at where the mutations come from in cancer. Then we will look at how the immune system can contribute to or prevent the formation of cancer.

🧵Tumor Heterogeneity

This will look at the concepts of tumor heterogeneity and antigen loss with the impacts on cancer treatment.
1/ The tumor begins with just one mutation, but as it continues to replicate cells, it will begin to develop newer and newer mutations. Each generation will have new mutations the generation before it did not have. Image
2/ This is the concept of the progression of cancer. A typical tumor will have at lest 6 mutations before it even becomes cancer. There are several attributes we studied in the Hallmarks of Cancer each tumor must acquire before it become cancerous and can metastasize. Image

Everyone know I am all about risk mitigation. Not just in the market but also in real life. I am all for having all the necessary insurances to protect your self and family whether it be life insurance, health insurance, car insurance, home insurance or even disability insurance.
For the past 10 years, I have been a huge fan of Identity protection. I have this annual membership for Norton and Life Lock. Its a very cheap service with big guarantees to help if anything goes wrong. I think it comes with $1 million restoration coverage.
I just heard from someone today how they had someone come to their home posing as someone from their insurance company. They took all kinds of personal and financial information from. Then they cleaned out all their accounts.

🧵Taking a look at $SANA

This is another one of my top 10 picks. This is a very early stage company so it is super risky, but the potential is huge should the science work out.
1/ I have been slowly buying and trading around my position in this company since its IPO. I see a huge amount of potential here. It could end up becoming one of the largest companies on my list if everything works out.
2/ The CEO seems like very smart person. He isn't on Twitter and I don't see a lot of public appearances by him. I think that actually hurts the company more than it helps as investors crave engagement.

🧵Taking a look at $RXRX

This is my #6 company in rankings and #2 in AI/ML and automation. They are more advanced than some of the other companies with a few assets in phase 2.
1/ I didn't start accumulating this company until the end of 2021, but even so, its been quite a beating along the way for 2022. I don't mind though as I suspect this could be a company that defines clinical discovery for the next decade.
2/ The CEO of this company seems to be a very conservative person. He is on Twitter, and I see him post links to news and company events. He doesn't talk a lot about the science or the company. I personally think he should talk about it more.

🧵Taking a look at $NTLA

This will be my fifth pick overall and my #2 pick in CRISPR companies.
1/ I actually started buying this company after the biotech bubble collapsed. I had originally owned $CRSP from 2018 at $25 up till $175 in 2021. I started feeling like they were falling behind on the innovation curve so I switched into $NTLA.
2/ I have been slowly building my position starting at $125 and nibbling into it down to about $50. I do have a bid in for more if it hit $33.34 for full disclosure.
