Still think ChatGPT is bad for education?

I just gave it a mark scheme and a sample student answer from an AQA GCSE English Language paper.

Look what happened ๐Ÿ‘‡

*Spoiler: It marked it accurately in seconds*

As a response (thanks to Melissa McBride from Sophia.app) I asked it how it could be improved and to provide an exemplar answer. Image

On Thursday we are recording an @EduFuturists podcast episode about ChatGPT. If anyone has any further suggestions of what this AI tech could do in education I'd love to hear them. I'll try it out and report back on the podcast.
@EduFuturists I'll be exploring this more in the coming days. For now, these are my top 4 applications for ChatGPT in a standard classroom: Image

Nicolas Cole @Nicolascole77 is a prolific social writer, author and entrepreneur

This evening he joined us on the @EduFuturists podcast for over an hour

His insights will change the way you want your child educated.

These are the insights I took away from the podcast: ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡ Image
Insight #1: Don't settle for improvement

Most people try to improve systems, they are improvers

@Nicolascole77 states that improvers try to make the existing reality better

e.g. during COVID closures schools moved the classroom onto a video call, but nothing really changed
Insight #2: Look for innovation

Innovators imagine a new reality and then try to move the system to that new place

@Nicolascole77 explained that the electric car would not have been invented by improvers, only a better gasoline car

It's innovators who create a better world
