That time #30pLee was caught getting a friend to pose as an anti-Labour swing voter, after he forgot he was wearing a live microphone, which raised questions about the Tories' widespread use of disinformation, voter-manipulation, & fake news.

#30pLee was recorded spelling out instructions while he phoned his friend to set up the fake encounter to impress a journalist: “Make out you know who I am... you know I’m the candidate, but not a friend, alright?”

Despite this, lying bullshitter #30pLee still got elected.
The supposed swing voter duly told the Tory candidate: “There’s no way Labour are ever going to get my vote again!”

Liar #30pLee even lied about the content of the phone call, commenting to the reporter as he hung up that it was about “some leaflets that have just come for me”.
Other 2019 Tory #disinformation tactics included setting up a fake website, labourmanifesto.co.uk, which purported to contain the @UKLabour manifesto but which actually presented voters with Tory attack lines. They paid Google to push the website to the top of search results.
Earlier, the cheating manipulative lying @Conservatives had set up a dystopian fake fact-checking service “factcheckUK” on social media that was actually controlled by its press office & used to pump out Tory messaging & endorsements of Boris Johnson.

The @Conservatives have shamelessly normalised lying, cheating, & manipulating voters, because they are cheating manipulative liars who would rather sacrifice the country & millions of lives than risk electoral defeat by doing the right thing for Britain.

'Power & coercive control' has an underlying plan: the purposeful, deliberate strategy, used by perpetrators of abuse, to isolate & disempower their victims.

Can insights from domestic & other forms of abuse be applied to the deliberate isolation of Britain? 🇬🇧
Obviously, I'm in no way playing down the very real consequences of abuse in any of the many forms it takes, including physical, emotional, sexual, & neglect.

Anyone suffering any form of abuse, or suspecting others of abuse, should seek help & guidance.

I suggest that the overall strategy of separating & isolating Britain & British people from our European neighbours MAY have some interesting parallels with the strategy of isolating victims of abuse used by perpetrators of abuse in general, & of domestic violence in particular.
