CJI: I have a sense of sadness that we will continue to be friends but I will not share the bench with him again now (with Justice Nazeer) #SupremeCourt

SG Mehta: On the behalf AG and on behalf of the government, we will miss Justice Nazeer. He has an amazing personality and always had a smiling face. We wish him a healthy tenure
SCBA President Vikas Singh: It is painful to see a judge retiring and more so when a judge is so popular. This is no age to retire and unfortunately this is how the Constitution is. I am sure your lordship will be around to guide us
Sr Adv Mukul Rohatgi: Justice Nazeer never lost his temper and he was always smiling and the atmosphere of hos courtroom was always pleasant. I wish him a second or third inning somewhere else may be as an arbitrator
Sr Adv V Mohana: His lordship always had a note of humour in his proceedings. It was a great opportunity to appear before him
Justice PS Narasimha: i very fondly recollect my appearances before Justice Nazeer and used to say this argument you cannot make and we used to stop. It was a pleasure to appear before him. I had a great association with him
CJI: yersterday I called Justice Nazeer to say that we had a couple of transfer, bail and IAs and if we wanted to have the ceremonial bench first. But he insisted that we have all the cases and then have the bench,
CJI: this shows his dedication and on his last day also he wanted to be active in the bench. We exchanged notes etc on collegium. There is a sense sadness since it was a minute less since 10:30 that I was sharing the bench with Justice Nazeer
CJI: justice nazeer was not the one who would be neutral between right and wrong but he stood for what is right. We shared the Ayodhya Bench and we worked together and delivered a decision together.
CJI: I am saving more words for the SCBA function.
Sr Adv Sanjay Hegde: Thank Mr Nazeer. He was a super minority. May I invoke blessings of (says something in Kannada).
SC: Tell us the meaning also.
Hegde: After the release of movie Kantara, the traditions of Karnataka have become very well known. Justice Nazeer has understood.
