Now, perhaps I am hearing this wrong, but it sure sounds to me like Danielle Smith is saying she wants to grab Albertans' pensions out of the CPP and use them to fund her pet projects, like a provincial police force, and provinvial revenue agency. 1/7 #abpoli
And she says it like it's a reasonable thing to do. (It is NOT!) How does paying for a police force or a huge new chunk of government bureaucracy grow our money into a retirement income? 2/7
She complains that there's more money going into the CPP from Albertans than there is coming out. Well, that's because Alberta has a lot more young working people in the contribution phase, than seniors in the withdraw phase. Doesn't the premier even know how pensions work? 3/7
If she doesn't know, maybe she isn't qualified to run a province. If she knows and is intentionally misleading Albertans so she can get her hands on that cash, maybe she doesn't have the moral fibre to run a province. 4/7
This is really alarming. What are we all to do when we retire and find out she and the UCP have spent, or "lost", the pension money that many people rely on, whether they have their own RSP or not? 5/7
This can't be allowed to happen. How does a premier who was elected by a small percentage of party members, with no general election mandate, think she can make such radical and devastating changes? 6/7
We need to step up and get out and vote on May 29. We are #BetterOffWithRachel and 4 years of a Smith government is unthinkable. 7/7

I heard a thing on the news saying that the wealthiest CEOs made more in the first hour of work this year than most Canadians will make in an entire year of work. And also that inflation boosts corporate profits, so that gap is getting wider. So, what's to be done about it? 1/10
Well, we could implement a wealth tax, affecting those who make many millions per year. But no, cry the conservatives, we can't do that! They might decide to close up their businesses here and then people would be out of work. So, that's it, is it? 2/10
The uber wealthy threaten to take their ball & go home, so we have to let them get away with impoverishing us so they can buy another island or sports team or a fifth yacht? That feels very not right. After all, they don't make anything. They own stuff, and the owning of it 3/10

So, @JustinTrudeau I just found out that no one requested a message to be sent to my aunt and uncle for their 60th wedding anniversary, which was 18/12/2019. They just celebrated their 63rd. I wanted to get an official congrats sent to them, but the form is not accepting the info
What do I need to do? They might not both be alive for the next one. She is 88, and he is older.
Also, he is deaf and has dementia. She is sharp as a tack, and continues to look after both her husband and their neighbours (some of whom may be younger than she is). She makes dinners and takes them to neighbours, or has neighbours over for meals. She deserves some recognition

Conservatives seem happy to believe anything negative said about our PM. If one of the CPC, UCP, or RW media outlets says, "Trudeau lied under oath", they will unquestioningly believe it and repeat it. They don't ask for proof, or even what the lie was.1/ #cdnpoli
They are so quick to believe anything bad about the leader Canadians elected, and equally quick to dismiss verifiable malfeasance on the part of conservative politicians.

Now taking something on blind faith from Rebel or the Postmillennial may be some kind of bold 2/
testimonial to one's unthinking devotion, but is it smart? Does it say, "I am an alert, educated, informed citizen"? Or does it say, "I am your vassal, oh great conservative leader, I will do your bidding without question"?

Seriously. What the hell is Danielle Smith listening to? Did she get special UCP earplugs? Rachel Notley said she did NOT want the feds to get involved in the Sovereignty Act. And yet...
despite there being video showing Rachel said that, Smith says she said the exact opposite. Oh, gosh, this is so hard! How do we know who to believe about what was actually said? Do conservatives not understand about video recordings?
#NeverVoteConservative
What are we to make of a governing party that advertises misinformation intended to lead the people down the garden path, in the face of actual recorded statements? Is such a party trustworthy? Is such a party put the well-being of the people anywhere on their radar? Or should

Suppose you are staying in a hotel and you slip on the ice in the parking lot when leaving (checked out), and you may have whiplash and possibly concussion, do you tell the hotel? In Canada, so healthcare is covered. No lawsuit.
The slip happened on the way to get in the car and go to the airport. I sent them an email. I felt too shaken up to talk to them. Besides, they knew it was slippery. Last evening the manager was running out to offer an arm to anyone who looked scared. They should have salted it.
Anyway, they have not responded to my email. I don't know if they even look at their emails. But, yes, I have established a paper trail. AHS is busy delisting services, so you never know.

@ZAlexSc And that is what all of this is about. Regime change. Keep in mind, conservatives will do and say anything, no matter how far-fetched, to get a few more votes. That little group that thinks our federal government could be responsible for price gouging by grocery chains,
@ZAlexSc That little group who thinks our federal government is responsible for global post-pandemic inflation. That little group who can be convinced that their gas and heating costs are personally profiting the PM. Low-information voters who can be persuaded to support the CPC is what
@ZAlexSc they are after. Small segments of voters here and there. It adds up. The CPC is hoping it adds up to giving them power. Once elected, they won't care at all what any of those segments think. Power is the thing. Then they can make good on their promises to developers,
