2. CDC makes a big deal of pre-test probability (that patient has #lymeDisease) suggesting their #lyme test would show many false positives if everyone was tested 4 Lyme. So that probability deemed likely after CDC’s told docs for 40 YEARS not to test unless in NE or have rash?

3. Minute 2:30- #CDC said they saw #lymeDisease cases (determined from insurance claims) were from the states they expect them to be. He thinks everyone is stupid. Duh, for 40 YEARS they’ve told #doctors not to test if patient isn’t in one of those states! bit.ly/3ihM6eU

4. Minute 3:40: CDC rep is careful not to say he believes it or that it’s true-says those at CDC would argue most #lymeDisease patients are served well by the #lyme info on the cdc website & the CDC’s acute only & 71% false negatives test CAUSE IT TELLS CDC WHAT THEY EXPECT!”

5. Minute 4:00: CDC admits there are two distinct #lymeDisease= acute & #longterm & the CDC #lyme test he had JUST said works cause it “tells us what we expect” is only for the acute cases & testing is only from the NE states. Then he says to tell doctors the truth confuses them.

6. At 6:15 CDC says that the CDC is NOT saying that persistent #lymeDisease symptoms are NOT from #lyme. Like they always do, he says “more studies need to be done” but he just admitted the CDC lyme test doesn’t detect #longLyme & they require a cdc positive 4 study participants

7. Min 6:20 CDC excuses their new language after pushing #IDSA #lymeDisease guidelines for decades-says they R ok cause CDC says they may need to be adjusted-but #doctors who’ve seen CDC push those IDSA guidelines they still see on IDSA-site & then the CDC warns abx R dangerous

8. 6:25ish- CDC basically says that CDC has decided that the 300k acute cases that were lucky to be tested early (but not 2 early) & not one of the 7.1 of every 10 that are told they don’t have #lymeDisease when they do matter more than all the long #lyme patients they made sick
