Let's talk more about #SSC v2 and what makes it unique in the #Solana #NFT world!

We're combining a few things here to maximize the capabilities of SSC v2 to really bring our #SolanaNFT community closer with our $SHDW community.

First of all, let's take a moment to recognize and thank the @Metaplex team for everything they've done for the #Solana #NFT ecosystem!

No team has contributed more to #SolanaNFTs and anyone building in the #SolanaNFT space stands on a foundation built only bc of their hardwork!

Now, on to SSC v2! If you're missing the context as to what is going on with the SSC v2 upgrade then read through this tweet to get the basics!

Now... let's expand upon that by talking about what the GenGo team is working on for the $SHDW ecosystem.

Roughly a third of the team is focused on improving our internal dev tooling and dev environments.

This will not only allow us to push code faster but it will cut down on the QoL improvement iteration cycle as we move forward.

Why is this important?

Bc, since 2020/2021 it's been nothing but mad "build or get left behind and die". For better or worse, the FTX debacle has seen everyone slam the breaks on just about everything.

We're taking advantage of that time to, in part, streamline our internal processes for the future.

The "second" third of the team is working on SSC v2 and the tooling needed to support it.

We've talked a lot about the upcoming ability to unlock traits for your SSC using $SHDW. These traits will have rarities and how you assemble them builds the rarity of the overall #NFT!

As a part of the SSC v2 deployment, we're deploying a marketplace for the #NFT's traits.
SSC holders can go shopping for new traits and unlock them by burning $SHDW. Obviously, only one trait can be equipped at a time though.
Unused traits sit in an "inventory" or "trait closet."

Holders will be able to go to the SSC Trait Marketplace and, at any time, can sell the traits they have sitting idle in their #NFT's inventory.

Imagine being able to sell off "pieces" of your #NFT instead of having to sell off the entire thing. SSC v2 will make that possible!

Now, let's say you land on this amazing combination of traits (maybe they're made of rare traits, maybe it's just a rly sick looking pfp bc of the combo you chose)... what then?

SSC holders can burn a small amount of $SHDW to "freeze" their look and that combo is now theirs.

Frozen combinations of traits can't be "equipped" by any other holder unless the owner of that combination unfreezes it.

Hypothetically, there could be a market where deals are made to unfreeze a frozen look (combo of traits) without ever having to sell the traits themselves.

We wrote an on-chain program using Anchor (to maximize security) and it's being combined with the magic of a DAGGER powered $SHDW Drive v2 so #NFTs to be dynamically rendered in an entirely #web3 way.
SSC v2, Drive v2, and DAGGER are converging... it's happening...

Think about it like this... DAGGER is our custom consensus mechanism designed specifically to handle large data sets in a #web3 way that uses #Solana as a txn execution layer.
$SHDW Drive v2 is a custom object storage system we've written that gives way more flexibility than v1.

One might actually say that SSC v2 & the trait marketplace are a Proof of Concept product that shows the versatility and power of $SHDW Drive v2.

Now, SHDW Drive v2 is powered by DAGGER. Which would make Shdw Drive v2 a PoC that shows the versatility and power of DAGGER!

It's $SHDW Drive v2 and DAGGER that the "last" third of the team are working on.

In reality though, the members of the team working on SSC v2, DAGGER, and SHDW Drive are all working on separate pieces of what will ultimately fuse into something more powerful than its parts.

As previously stated, we're looking at approximately eight weeks for the art to be finished and up to the standards we're looking for.

Along the way we'll be dropping sneak peeks of the art and teaser videos for the $SHDW community.

We hope this will be a fun new way for to enjoy #NFTs on #Solana while also giving us the opportunity to showcase the full depth and power of $SHDW Drive v2 and the DAGGER underlay that powers it. Ultimately, we think this will bring huge value to both SHDW and SSC holders.
