1/ I am often asked by new #startup #Founders "how much should we be paying ourselves?" Nearly all the answers I've heard are WRONG!!
2/ No you shouldn't be living off this, it's unhealthy (but yummy). 
3/ Here is the correct answer for #founders that are pre-revenue.
4/ You need to get paid just enough that you can spend nearly 100% of your focus on #building your #startup.
5/ Well how much is that? It depends. Every founder's situation is different.
6/ If you are fresh out of college, it could be very low. If you have a family, then it will be quite a bit more.
8/ The point is limit your outside stress as #startups have plenty of stress on their own. Of course, it has an impact on your #runway. So think twice if you have a luxurious lifestyle, maybe #startups aren't for you.
9/ #Startups still usually require sacrifices, so you should do everything you can to lower your expenses.
10/ But the key takeaway is that #startup #founders that are pre-revenue, should pay themselves just enough so that they can remain nearly 100% focused on #building!
