My PLAB 1 result just came out & I scored 157/180 (~87%). I was able to achieve this on my first attempt despite having prepped for just 6 months, juggling between 40-hr/wk ER shifts.
Hereβs how I managed to pull this off, and how you can too β A thread π§΅

1. Have a solid plan
Set a fixed time plan for your preparation. My exam was in August and I started properly preparing in February. I made a 6-month weekly plan, deciding specific plans & topics to cover until exam day. The worst thing you can do is cram towards D-day.
2. Discipline
Creating a plan sounds nice, but thatβs only half the equation. The real work comes in executing your plan, which requires commitment. That means turning up, even if you donβt feel like it. Methods may vary, but you should reach a set target by the end of each week.
